Focal Clear headphones
Hey guys, I've had my Clear for about 2 years now, and while the pads and headband have held up to a few cleanings, they're getting quite discolored. I'd like to buy some black replacement pads - what's the consensus on any of the Dekoni variants, or the Utopia pads?- pantsdeamor

MrSpeakers ETHER Flow and ETHER C Flow -- Inspired by Electrostatic Headphones
The Ether is a substantial improvement over the LCD2. The soundstage (while still intimate) is much wider than the LCD. The overall resolution, separation, clarity, and speed is notably better. Comfort is the biggest issue; the LCD clamps down on your head with the force of a thousand suns. The...- pantsdeamor

The e-stat pads do open the soundstage a bit, as well as add some clarity and (unfortunately) brightness. The regular angled pads have better mids and bass, imo, but the increase in soundstage and resolution makes the e-stat pads worth the slight loss. For my tastes, anyway.- pantsdeamor

I appreciate the suggestion; I actually have the electrostat pads on them already. They do improve the soundstage, but unfortunately I've been spoiled by an extended time with the 800S. I would recommend the e-stat pads in general, though.- pantsdeamor

I've recently purchased a pair of Ether Flow, and the reviews are totally right - it's an excellent headphone that does everything well. My biggest complaint is the lack of soundstage.- pantsdeamor

Amp recommendations for Audeze LCD-2
Well, I bit the bullet and bought a Jotunheim (mostly for the sake of future headphone purchases, as my Pioneer SX850 is plenty for the LCD-2). The Jot certainly ranks in the top 3 for amps I've tried with the LCD-2, among the WA6-SE and the SX850. I liked all three of these even better than the...- pantsdeamor

Amp recommendations for Audeze LCD-2
Has anyone here tried vintage receivers with their LCD-2? So far, out of the Lyr, various Fiio amp/dacs, and the Cavali Liquid Fire, my Pioneer SX-850 has paired the best with my LCD-2f.- pantsdeamor

Amp recommendations for Audeze LCD-2
Hi - I made the jump to LCD-2 (Fazor), and have narrowed down my future amp purchase to either the Schiit Jot, or Audeze Deckard (if you have a different suggestion, please feel free). I'd love to read a comparison, or recommendation on one or the other. I listen to mostly indie rock and...- pantsdeamor
