Introducing Vokyl & The Erupt Headset

I feel like your marketing material should do a better job at presenting the actual progress of the project. It reads like it's 100% ready for manufacturing and you just require the funds to play with the economies or scale.

No, I'm just reading what has been posted by those individuals.

Introducing Vokyl & The Erupt Headset

Hello friends at Vokyl (@theotherjude), I've been carefully following your project and what has transpired around it; There are some inconsistencies between the marketing material on the indiegogo campaign and what you've stated in this thread, so I was hoping you could clarify for us: After...

Dunu Falcon-C Flagship Dynamic Driver IEM - Discussion and Reviews

I used a heat gun to try to force it back into shape. It sort of worked.

    Topping D30 DSD DAC XMOS/CS4398

I bought this without knowing that it outperformed even the Modi 2 Uber, but honestly you can't beat it for the price. With the ridiculous amounts of USB ports that I have to use for different things, having the option of using toslink is a godsend. I know some people don't believe DACs make a...

Empire Ears - Discussion & Impressions (Formerly EarWerkz)

What is the nozzle diameter on these? Are they capable of taking the common spinfit CP100 tips or is it a different diameter?

Steps to find your perfect gaming mouse and how I found mine.

The G403/703 is an excellent mouse for everything. It is lightweight and has a top of the line sensor, the ridiculously good wireless tech, and a shape that fits people with smaller and larger hands at the same time. I had a lot of objections to logitech's previous lineups, but they basically...

    Official HIFIMAN HE1000 Impressions Thread

I'm about to acquire a HEK v1 in a few days. Is there a larger difference between v1 and v2 in the tuning besides the larger case and different pads? I would assume that once my pads are sufficiently worn down, I'd have to use UltraPads from the V2 anyway, so how would this impact the sound?

iBasso IT01 a fun IEM. Single multilayered graphene driver. !! 99 USD !!

This is my only complaint with the sound out of these IEMs: The mids just sound a bit too hollow. I love me some V-shaped signatures, but that's their achilles heel on this particular model. At this price, however, they are pretty much a steal.

    IMR - R1 Thread

I've had problems with my order ever since I received it in mid august, but so far Bob has been very diligent in making sure things were straightened out. I just wish that it hadn't happened the way it has, because I haven't been able to enjoy these IEMs the way I want it to. I'll recount my...

Hifiman Sundara (HE400i upgraded, around $500)

The loki is an analog input of sorts (knobs) dividing the whole spectrum in four, instead of using a 16 band equalizer on stuff like Eq APO with PeaceGUI. It's the kind of allows you to tune things by hand without overwhelming the user and without going digital to do so, some might think that...

Dunu Falcon-C Flagship Dynamic Driver IEM - Discussion and Reviews

I'm not sure why these haven't exploded in popularity. The bass that these things produce is impressive, especially without overwhelming the midrange like other offerings; my only "complaint" if you could call it that is that I found the tonality to a bit off at times when compared to higher end...

Arcam rHead Class-A Analogue Headphone Amplifier

I upgraded from the Magni 3 to the rHead. It wasn't a day/night difference, but there was definitely one. I found that the treble had been "pulled back a bit" and the lower frequencies felt like they gained a little impact to them. In a less subjective note, I found that I could easily IEMs out...

Hifiman Sundara (HE400i upgraded, around $500)

Sundara is definitely the brighter of the two, by a fair amount I'd say. The sundara is a bright set, but never sibilant IMHO. Just enough to get that sparkle out of music.

Hifiman Sundara (HE400i upgraded, around $500)

Sundara will is definitely on the bright side compared to the sennheisers. What bass is there responds very well if that's what you were wondering, but as I soon as I switched earlier, I definitely felt the difference right off the bat. And yes, I am using stock pads on both. Clamping force on...

Hifiman Sundara (HE400i upgraded, around $500)

I feel like the Sundara definitely has the better soundstage and is way faster (instrument separation is better on the Sundara). The teak can sound a bit congested at times when a lot is going on, but it's a lot of fun.

Hifiman Sundara (HE400i upgraded, around $500)

Have both the Teak and Sundara. The teak has all that slam and rumble that just impresses every time it hits, while the Sundara has enough bass to know that it's there with some impact, but nothing that will make you go "DAMN THAT WAS NUTS" (That can be a good or a bad thing depending on how...
