    ONKYO DP-X1 | Dual Sabre Dacs | Balanced | Sabre BTL Amp | MQA | DSD 256 | Android 5 |

Thanks for the suggestion!! I know with cable it always will be better :) Did read some about it and they talk about the Android app for this set. Do you know if that is required or can these kind of headsets also be connected without an app for it? So just pairing it and that's it?

I know it is of personal taste but I am looking for some advise on a good wireless over-ear headphone for my DP-X1. Did some research but the amount of info is rather overwhelming :p Noise canceling is not needed. Soundwise I like a more neutral signature like my Dunu DK-3001 IEM's. Costs around...

Yes. I have the EU model and the Variable Line Out Mode is in the Sound part of the menu. When set to On, the volume is just fine. Just in case: the Fixed Line Out Mode should be Off.

Yes, it has. But this can be reversed by a setting: enable the "Variable line out mode" and now the limit is gone. And yes, headphones can be used with the variable line out enabled.

    Dunu DK-3001 IEM - 4 driver, 1Dynamic + 3BA

I don't know. There were some online shops in the UK who had them but they are out of stock. I got mine though through their Dunu Authorized Store channel at https://www.aliexpress.com/store/3088116 ... only time ever I did use Aliexpress :)

Does anybody recognize this or has tips? I have a SanDisk Ultra 128GB Micro SDXC Class 10 in Slot 1 in my DP-X1. There is around 90GB of music on it. If I take it out and use a cardreader with my PC, it is fast as it should be: all files show up almost instantly in Windows Explorer. But when the...

    ONKYO DP-X1 | Dual Sabre Dacs | Balanced | Sabre BTL Amp | MQA | DSD 256 | Android 5 |

Hello and welcome :) Other then the normal Google bloatware on Android, the DP-X1 is surprisingly clean. It does has 1 (yes, 1 :) ) Onkyo app that could be considered minimal bloatware (it promotes Onkyo HD Music in it when you live in the US, UK or Germany and has some other stuff in it) but...

Then it has not played cause that 35 hours of play is not possible. Do you have other earphones to test with? Just to make sure your headphones are not the guilty party?

Ah no, Dunu does make some really good stuff. All the reviews of the DK-3001 are really positive, has a great value for money and I only can acknowledge that. Having said that: the sound is excellent but the comfort can be an issue. They have a weird way of putting in (the bud has to go straight...

Did you left it attached to a power supply? Cause 35 hours playtime on itself is not possible. Most you will get in 1 run is around 16 hours but 12 to 14 hours more likely.

Difficult to advise because the sound/signature of headphones depends also on the preferences of the user. I have the Dunu DK-3301 in-ear headphones and I absolutely love them But others will not like them because they have a very natural sound. People who like a more warm sound will not go for...

    Dunu DK-3001 IEM - 4 driver, 1Dynamic + 3BA

No burn in, just normal use. With my Onkyo DP-X1 I noticed that after around 2 weeks (with around 2 hours of use almost each day) was more "there". Not a huge difference though :)

I don't use AMP, my IEMs are plugged into the balanced output. But maybe the AMP is charging? Has the battery icon on your DP-X1 the charging symbol in it while connected to the AMP?

Good to hear :) About heat: it gets warm, that is normal. But really burning hot is not normal. It is not charging the battery when you listen?

As long as you do not use any apps (other then music player app), have WIFI off, have Bluetooth off, do not use the screen all the time ... you can get around 10 hours (depending on your headphones too).

Ah okay, thanx. Not going to risk it then. I know what SuperSU is but things like TWRP or SELinux I know nothing about, never heard of them.

Not that strange. The comparison with browser and then YouTube. The videofile is the same yet the colors and contrast in Chrome, Internet Explorer and Firefox can be different. Same goes for for video or sound on my PC: if I use the standard Windows Media Player or I use VLC Media Player: by...

Okay, it is software that handles sound files :) But still, without any tweaks the sound with Poweramp differs from Neutron which differs from JetAudio. JetAudio has a more clear sound in it, Poweramp has more power in it. The music file itself stays the same but the apps handle in in different...

    ONKYO DP-X1 | Dual Sabre Dacs | Balanced | Sabre BTL Amp | MQA | DSD 256 | Android 5 |

One of the reasons I like (and purchased) JetAudio is the easy/logical way of how to use it. It is very easy to play music through artists, albums, songs, folders, playlists, genre or network. It's UI is very intuitive. Again, for me it is, maybe for someone else it is not :) Also it has some...

    ONKYO DP-X1 | Dual Sabre Dacs | Balanced | Sabre BTL Amp | MQA | DSD 256 | Android 5 |

I tried PowerAmp and it is okay. But it is not that complicated IMHO. JetAudio has my preference overall. It has real good sound and it can be tweaked to the minute details. But it all is personal preference of course :) I for example do not use playlists at all.

    ONKYO DP-X1 | Dual Sabre Dacs | Balanced | Sabre BTL Amp | MQA | DSD 256 | Android 5 |

It is not in the settings of the X1 but in the settings of the Onkyo Music app. Oh and let me check ... yep, Onkyo DP-X1 it is :) And I did mean Balance, like in adjusting left and right channel volume ;)

And yet another question :) With the native Onkyo Music player, in Settings, there is a part called Headphone Types. In there, there is a list of all kind of Onkyo, Pioneer and Philips headphones ... and 1 setting called Other. Also a link "Learn More About Headphones" but nothing happens when...
