The Stax Thread III
Hi all I am just wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction for a replacement bolt that holds the Case holder to the headband sadly my case holder broke on my l500 and when I tried to unscrew it, it stripped the head of the bolt. I have bought a replacement case holder but without...- chidmas

Yeah I agree his attitude can drink at times but I like his reviews for the most part, would probably agree his preferred sound signature is a bit bright. Do you have the Isines? How do the balance sound in comparison?- chidmas

You are totally correct I meant the Beryllium. With regards to the Halcyon over Semper I just have the feeling it could be over complicating it by adding the planar. We've seen that complication doesn't necessarily make a better sounding product. This and the significantly more expensive...- chidmas

Has everyone seen Bob's email with regards to the Halcyon personally think the removal of the £100 deposit is a bad idea just after Christmas where people have potentially spent a significant amouny of money. The ability to spread the payment into two chunks seems far better than now having to...- chidmas

FiiO M15 Audio Player | Dual AK4499EQ | 7490 mAh Battery | 64 GB ROM | $1299.99
There are plenty of reasons including not having a screen would mean you couldn't search for your music and tell me which audio player doesn't have a screen even Sony CD walkmans gained screens and the progenitor the iPods and mp3 players had screens. The reason for using Android is because it's...- chidmas

Sim slot isn't simply a engineering issue you have to get the unit approved by networks or else at any point they can blacklist the item. For a company like fiio this could be time consuming and rather pointless since I do not thinks that essential when you can simply use your phone as a...- chidmas

I get what your saying however that would add a level of complication since they would have to get carrier approval plus certain markets would mean these players get a load of carrier bloat ware. For companies these size it's headache they don't need. Just create a wireless hotspot from your phone- chidmas

Yes the sonions I mentioned. The same ones that are in the shouer tapes I own. Non energizer estats have been possible for a long time, like I mentioned the Mitchell and Johnson mj1 were an example of estats with no energizer it seems the real innovation is making them smaller- chidmas

Yes these are legit estats produced by a company called Sonion, Google them, there are full-size estats which don't require an energizer the Mitchell & Johnson mj1 being one which is the same design as a kingsound model.- chidmas

I used them on Monday on the Tube and it does leak way too much sound. I don't like cranking up the volume as it's damaging to your hearing and so I just use foams and the gold bass filters that combined with the pink ends has good bass and detail while isolating better than spiral dots which...- chidmas

I totally understand what you're saying however the difference in source is mainly a quality and tiny differences. When you really consider it the tracks you listen to have far more effect than source since mixing and mastering are unbelievably important. I just think it may just confuse people...- chidmas

I agree there are differences in sources that's why i said relatively neutral. I mean most sources aren't so coloured that it would mean you chose a totally different filter. If they are then I would question why it's Soo coloured bar maybe tubes- chidmas

I highly doubt source will have significant influence on filter choices. As long as the source is neutralish filters have far more effect than source.- chidmas
