Bowers and Wilkins PX8 Wireless Discussion

Thank you. I will give that a try. A little disappointing - my original PXs have held up really well to this day. Won't make a big fuss and grandiose generalizations about build quality but hard not to be disappointed at my specific device. Thankfully doesn't affect the sound coming out of...

Bowers and Wilkins PX8 Wireless Discussion

Has anyone else here encountered issues with the leather on the band just separating? Just weird this happened..

Ended up using these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XKQN2RX/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_RtEvBbF81AE2G No pressure on the ear pads.

Hi folks, anyone here chose to stick to the original firmware without any issues?

    Bowers & Wilkins PX Noise-Cancelling Over-ears

Well folks I had initially posted about an issue where sound stopped coming out of the left ear cup. That issue fixed itself after a couple of days but has since then resurfaced. I love the sound of this thing, I love the looks of this thing but the software is just killing me.

    Bowers & Wilkins PX Noise-Cancelling Over-ears

After 7 months of use the sound stopped coming out of the left ear. I've tried wireless, wired, different audio sources, reboots, resets, updated the firmware, etc. and there' s still no sound coming ouf of the left speaker. Has anyone else encountered the same or a similar issue?

    Bowers & Wilkins PX Noise-Cancelling Over-ears

Hi guys, I've updated my post on hard cases - I think i found a winner (IMHO): https://www.head-fi.org/threads/bowers-wilkins-px-noise-cancelling-over-ears.861606/page-82#post-13856157

    Bowers & Wilkins PX Noise-Cancelling Over-ears

The utility did all the work for me to be honest. I installed it and then plugged in the headphones, it recognized the PXs and proceeded with an update. I am on Windows though so I am not sure if the Mac version works the same way or was even updated. I would assume it was since the whole B&W...

    Bowers & Wilkins PX Noise-Cancelling Over-ears

Nitpick after about a week of use: the foam on the ear cups could be a little plusher (to hold its shape and yet be comfortable). It's not a deal breaker.

    Bowers & Wilkins PX Noise-Cancelling Over-ears

I received the Geekria case and got a chance to see how it fit: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01IZ9ZJ9Y/ ...and I'm a little worried it presses down on the earcups a little too much(?) That could be just me being paranoid having spent a little over $400 on these babies. I'm going to give...

    Bowers & Wilkins PX Noise-Cancelling Over-ears

Brilliant! I just used the new utility and it recognized my PX and proceeded to update/reinstall firmware v1.062 and my PX is working again.

    Yup. Can't get on either

    Bowers & Wilkins PX Noise-Cancelling Over-ears

Worth a try. I'm desperate. I have a second PX in my Amazon shopping cart and I'm || thiiiis close to placing that order.

    Bowers & Wilkins PX Noise-Cancelling Over-ears

Would you still have the utility program in your downloads to post or send? Apparently the bwfirmware.com site is unavailable at the moment.

    Bowers & Wilkins PX Noise-Cancelling Over-ears

I was told by Audio Advice where I purchased mine, that they were in touch with B&W about the issue and that a fix would come out any time today. Audio Advice is one of B&W authorized resellers. I haven't seen any update come through yet though. Tried that just now without any luck unfortunately.

    Bowers & Wilkins PX Noise-Cancelling Over-ears

Yeah I did that too. Tried on difference devices. The only thing I haven't been able to do is to reinstall the new firmware and see if that kicks the PXs into gear. But I need B&W to post the firmware on their site to download. If that still doesn't work it'll have to be replaced. I still love...

    Bowers & Wilkins PX Noise-Cancelling Over-ears

Yeah I did all the different resets lol What's even weirder is: - once connected to BT the play pause button works and the volume up down buttons work (the music app of choice shows the volume slider moving) - even when physically connected with either the 3.5mm jack or USB-C there still isn't...

    Bowers & Wilkins PX Noise-Cancelling Over-ears

That's exactly what happened to me except I hear no audio now no matter what.

Congrats! Lovin' mine. Just hope they worked right now. I'm sure it'll be alright.

    Bowers & Wilkins PX Noise-Cancelling Over-ears

I was hoping it would work the same way for me but when I cleared the app data and connected to the app it recognized my HP as having the new firmware and consequently did not give an option to update. Tried that too. No luck.
  22. P

    Bowers & Wilkins PX Noise-Cancelling Over-ears

Yeah I did the pinhole reset which didn't fix it. The app said the firmware update failed and that I should complete it by connecting the HP to a laptop and updating via USB.
  23. P

    Bowers & Wilkins PX Noise-Cancelling Over-ears

Well... I tried to update the firmware and now my PXs don't work. Anyone have the link to the updated firmware so I can download and update via USB?
  24. P

    Bowers & Wilkins PX Noise-Cancelling Over-ears

I agree. I didn't have the same issues connecting to the app as described by others on this thread, but it does feel a little bit faster. It's not instantaneous but certainly quicker than before.

Looks like an updated android app is out... and once installed allows for the firmware update.
