    On later firmwares (just received and upgraded mine), there's no non-removable pop-ups, you can dismiss them touching the screen. Also, you can reduce the mids with custom EQ. I don't, because the earphones I will be using it with were a bit lacking in mids.

    Thanks for your opinion! I think the FiiO is out of the question then. Yes, I've looked also into the BL03 but discarded it for the reason you mention; I haven't looked into the BL01 but will do, I will read those threads also, again thank you!
