Review by 'es7ebanlv' on item 'FiiO M5 Ultra-portable High-Resolution Audio Player'
I've long used portable audio players, starting with Sony's cassette Walkmans, then the venerable iPods, and other more obscure brands. As a runner and cyclist, what I value most in a portable player is the ability to operate it without looking —the iPod Shuffle was king— and that it can...- es7ebanlv

FiiO M5 Review
On later firmwares (just received and upgraded mine), there's no non-removable pop-ups, you can dismiss them touching the screen. Also, you can reduce the mids with custom EQ. I don't, because the earphones I will be using it with were a bit lacking in mids.- es7ebanlv

Great and informative review, thanks! I'm currently searching for a replacement for my cheap Wiwoo U2, that replaced my old iPods, because my current IEMs demand something a bit more serious while cycling / running / transport, which as you say is the perfect use for this DAP. Would you happen...- es7ebanlv

Philips Fidelio L2
Hi @oryan_dunn! I've read your other comment where you say they sound mostly identical and it may be just a different method of measuring and the differences could be just minute driver differences, but I wanted to double check: 40mW? Are you sure? Don't you mean 400mW? Checking on Amazon, I'm...- es7ebanlv

Review by 'es7ebanlv' on item 'NF Audio NA2'
I'm no audiophile, but I know how I like my sound. I was searching for replacement to my old, soldered and twice broken Sony MDR-EX500 which to me were perfection incarnate, and let me tell you, choosing earphones these days is terribly difficult; before, all I had to do was enter the Sony Shop...- es7ebanlv

Help chosing IEM, replacing Sony MDR-EX500
Thanks, @scracy, I ended getting the NF Audio NA2 and I'm seriously impressed, they're way better than my old EX500 (the mid highs are lower than all the other frecuencies, but it's noticeable very rarely like in the piano background in Estranged by GnR, while on the EX500 were a bit higher, but...- es7ebanlv

Hello @cqtek, thanks for your reviews, informative & useful! If I could bother with your advice: looking for replacing broken Sony MDR-EX500 which were perfection incarnate: easily driveable, powerful, terrific punchy bass, musical, detailed, not overly bright, bit warm, great vocals. I'm not...- es7ebanlv

Yes, I read that statement I think in this same thread. Well, you are one of the half that say the FH1s have more bass, the other half says the contrary, that's what I meant by very contradicting opinions! Thank you for your input!- es7ebanlv

Thanks for your opinion! I think the FiiO is out of the question then. Yes, I've looked also into the BL03 but discarded it for the reason you mention; I haven't looked into the BL01 but will do, I will read those threads also, again thank you!- es7ebanlv
