Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up
Yep, you are right, but @Jason Stoddard added “Each must be programmed with firmware specific to the product (Bifrost, Bifrost Multibit, Gungnir, Gungnir Multibit, Yggdrasil.)” so it seems that Bifrost and Gungnir Gen 5 USB boards should have different firmwares. Maybe he referred to the main...- Locutus73

This reminds me a question I have to ask since I got my Gen 5 Bimby. My computers report it as “Gungnir Gen 5”. Was it assembled with a USB board flashed with the wrong firmware? Many thanks in advance. Locutus73- Locutus73

I second that. RPI3 (moOde Audio+BubbleUPnP Server)>Gen 5 Bimby>Valhalla 2>HD600. I’m a hi-fi audio newbie, but it sounds heavenly to my ears. Locutus73- Locutus73

Me neither. Let's assume that it is so. We could configure this "no default settings" behaviour for a specific input pressing both “input select” and “output mode” for a few seconds. But I think that this “no default settings” and “last settings” mode could be dangerous switching inputs. Let’s...- Locutus73

What about a stackability guide with hints to devices that can be stacked having the same form factor and/or cannot be stacked (e.g. for heating issues)? Locutus73- Locutus73

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up
Instead of a dip switch solution that implies changes to the hardware, since the preamps can be configured (via max volume+passive mode) to HT bypass, I was thinking to a simple solution: a user configurable default mode for each input with a very simple user interface. Standard mode: you click...- Locutus73

No parts machined from a solid? I understand they would be pretty useless and expensive, but on motorbikes they are so cool. Locutus73- Locutus73

I would dare to say that nothing in modern world would work and we would face apocalypse. Great RFC!!! It has been updated to IPv6 with https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc6214 I’d add a third possible source of problems: bad timings in the binary stream fed to the DAC. Eventually we can embed this...- Locutus73
