Is it enough with a receiver?

Alright, I think I understand a little. I have contacted the shop and I will try out the DT770 250ohms before I buy them. I was thinking since I can't have my receiver with me (well I could but it will be a little bit troublesome) I will instead hear them on my Cayin C5 which can drive...

Is it enough with a receiver?

The HD650 and HE-400i look nice but as you said it has less slam (i hope u mean bass with this word or else I misunderstood it hahaha) and they are also a bit expensive. I read that the DT770 have great sub-bass when the frequency response peaks at about 40 Hz. I have a feeling that they are not...

Is it enough with a receiver?

I read that the 80ohms should have more bass than the 250ohms or will the receiver do the job and deliver the same amount of bass to the 250ohms as the 80ohms since u said the receiver would be powerful enough for the 250ohms? I've had this giftcard in 2 years so I could as well use it on some...

Is it enough with a receiver?

I looked them up and my god what a beast... Never ever have I heard about these headphones before so I read a little and saw some reviews. So far they have really caught my interest and one day I will maybe buy them. I actually happen to have a gift card for my shop which sells the DT770 250ohm...

Is it enough with a receiver?

I now tried to use the X2 with my Cayin C5 for a little while. It actually sounds a bit more clear and the bass is a bit more punchy. Since the C5 is a portable amp I do not know if I could use it as a desktop amp. Would there be a way to combine an audio gear with my receiver or just...

Is it enough with a receiver?

I've tried it and there is less bass and the other sounds were more forward. Now I also tried with the EQ on PC but the bass got muffled and suppressed the other sounds.

Is it enough with a receiver?

Definitely! I will try and see if I can find one in a local store someday. Yeah, sometimes it may be easier to change the headphones instead of the equipment but I will test if an EQ could help.

Is it enough with a receiver?

I haven't thought of using an EQ which might be a good idea. Do you perhaps know any EQ app for PC? If not then I'll try find something.

Is it enough with a receiver?

That has been my problem when looking for headphones. I still want the bass but I don't want to lose the sound quality either. I do really enjoy the X2 but I hope there would be a solution so I can enjoy them even more. Regarding the E10K as I remember the bass wasn't that loud or good compared...

Is it enough with a receiver?

I have been using the Philips Fidelio X2 with my receiver (Onkyo TX-8050) for some years. The receiver is connected to my PC with an Optical cable (S/PDIF). I have read in different threads that the X2 is often used with an Amp or DAC but never read about connecting it to a receiver. The X2 has...

You are right I completely forgot that. Apologies for the misinformation. But yeah, the cheap USB adapter could solve the problem.

I got modmic 5 and there is a hissing sound

Hello rock1m1 I will suggest changing the USB audio adapter to a cheaper one. It's not necessarily the Modmic 5 that is defective. I don't have the Modmic 5 but I have the Modmic 4. The same problem occurred to me and the hissing sound was fixed by using a cheaper USB audio adapter. My friend...
