Has anyone compared the S2 to the new Dragonfly Cobalt? They use the same sabre chip. I expect the Cobalt to work better as a headphone amp, but I'm curious how they compare when used with speakers.

Yep, like the PS Audio Stellar Gain Cell, which is also a true balanced 2-channel preamp AND has HT bypass. Parasound’s Halo preamp also has HT bypass, but I don’t think the balanced outputs are differential.
