I can confirm everything you have written about the Yggy comparison. The Pontus is only bettered by my MHDT Orchid DAC (TDA1541A) but only when using ECC86 tubes! Anyway, the Yggy will be up for sale soon, Pontus and Orchid will stay!

The Linux kernel thing is definitely strange. I'm running Daphile on Gentoo RT kernel version 4.1.12 with my Yggy without any issue.
