Best headphones under 100 euros for Symphonic metal and gaming. (Italy)

Tbh while an amp might make a difference for the DT770 And especially the k702, I wouldn't expect a night and day difference. If you don't like how they sound unamplified at all it probably wont change your opinion hugely. You can try but I'd just keep that in mind. I know Ayreon. I find em...

Best headphones under 100 euros for Symphonic metal and gaming. (Italy)

I got AKG K612 in "like new" conditions from Amazon for about 80 euros plus an e10k (that's all the amp I could afford) for about 55 euros refurbished from Ebay. I like them but they seem to be really picky with sound mastering. Alot of my music isn't at all well mastered and it shows. On the...

    Philips SHP9500 Discussion Thread

yeah the general consensus is that the hd598 is a good jack of all trades, but supposedly it dosen't do THAT well with metal as it does with slower genres, i'm guessing because of the sound signature... i don't know, i'll probably be buying them from amazon anyway so i suppose i can just send...

could be that, but i found a similiar file for the superflux hd681 evo which was supposed to "balance" the bass a bit and it just made it sound weird and unnatural to me.

Maybe it's just due to my current headphones, or my ignorance regarding euqalizers, but i've never really liked messing with equalzier settings. Usually it just makes the sound worse for me.

Huh, interesting. Another option that i'm considering (and it's a more likely buy at the moment) are the sennheiser hd 598... how do these compare? And would you say either headphones sounds bad with metal (especially symphonic) ? Some people say the sennheiser sound is generally too "laid back"...

welp i didn't expect to "convert" people to symphonic metal when i asked for that question, lol. Not that i mind :D

So i've been looking to upgrade from my superlux hd681 evo, with headphones under or around 100 euros. I've been reccomended these by some people, and it does seem like it could work for my tastes (assuming i can find them at a good price... what with import fees from US and whatnot), but i have...

Best headphones under 100 euros for Symphonic metal and gaming. (Italy)

You know i've thought about it a bit.... i MIGHT go for the beyerdynamic dt770 80ohm. the sound signature seem ssimiliar to my current headphones which may be an issue, but the mids do seem considerably less recessed than on mine and apparently those respond well to EQ... plus they're...

Best headphones under 100 euros for Symphonic metal and gaming. (Italy)

i'm likely going to go either for the hd558/9 (supposedly the 559 is meant as a direct replacement to the 558 but some say it's actually a replacement of the 518... can anyone confirm or deny that?) or the Philips SHP9500 (if i can find a good price for them when i add up import fees to italy...

I've looked around a bit... anyone familiar with the Shure SRH440? they're closed back tho, but they... seem like they could be good for me. i don't know though.

Best headphones under 100 euros for Symphonic metal and gaming. (Italy)

I would think the recessed mids would be a concern. I mean, that's what i dislike the most about my current pair. I basically have to turn up the volume to hear vocals well in most SM songs. as for the Philips headphones... really tempting, i might go for them if i see a good price, however...

the seinheisser hd559 are in my price range btw. about 100 right now. Is anyone familiar with them? i don't see alot of reviews about them. How would they compare to the philips shp9500

Best headphones under 100 euros for Symphonic metal and gaming. (Italy)

Alright, thanks. As for the philips headphones, the only way i can obtain them seems to import them from the US. On ebay i've seen them going for about 55 euros but there's also an extra 15 in shipping and an extra 15 in import fees... so that's annoying. That said i will also have to test my...

Best headphones under 100 euros for Symphonic metal and gaming. (Italy)

I'm from a town of 50.000 people in italy, i'm not aware of any dedicated audio stores. Most of the stores that sell headphones mainly sell cheap in-ears and similiar. Also i don't even know if they allow you to try them... Speaking of the Philips SHP9500s, you're definitely right about them...

Best headphones under 100 euros for Symphonic metal and gaming. (Italy)

I mean symphonic metal might be metal but it's usually not as bass-centered as other subgenres. There's bigger emphasis on vocals in particular, and the "Orchestral" elements (which usually are synthesized for obvious reasons). As for the beyerdynamic dt770 how do they compare to the dt990 pro...

Best headphones under 100 euros for Symphonic metal and gaming. (Italy)

So About a year ago i was asking for advice on what headphones i should get under 50 euros, and i was reccomended the superflux hd681 evo. While the audio quality on this pair is great (sound signature is not amazing for symphonic metal, but acceptable) the build quality is just awful, and...

What are the best headphones i can get for under 50 euros (italy)

I'm just trying to get the best thing i can with my budget. Even the seinheisser 201s would be an upgrade over what i have, so i don't exactly have incredibly high standards. I doubt i'll be particularly disappointed?

So do the hd681 EVO sound good with metal to you? As far as i'm aware it's more of a warm sound which probably wouldn't lend itself that well to metal... but i don't know.

hmmm i've read more about the the hd681 EVO tho and i'm considering those now... uuugh undecided!!! keep more options coming if you can think of any. The "costumizability" of the pair seems like a nice bonus. plus according to amazon it comes with a three year warranty.

What are the best headphones i can get for under 50 euros (italy)

Will the m20x sound good for the music i listen to (mostly symphonic metal, metal, and rock) without the need for an equalizer though? i'm fine with using one, but i'd generally preefer not to. Anyway i might go for that pair unless i get a better option.
