The nfb 1 amp is not bright at all, more on the side of neutral.

I've been enjoying using the Matrix M Stage HPA-3B with my HD800. I don't mod mine cause I don't feel like it needs it.

I pair the HPA-3B with my Yggdrasil. The Yggdrasil is in another league of its own, but that just to say the HPA-3B is capable of revealing details if it is fed by a good source.

With the balanced R2R 2 coming out, it'll be a tough decision for me. I was thinking about getting the NFB28.38 as it is an AIO balanced in and out. But for probably the same amount of money I can get the R2R 2. I know I still have to get a balanced amp, but I won't mind doing that if sonically...
