Monoprice Monolith THX 887 - Impressions Thread
Sorry but 2% won't cut the mustard in my opinion, based upon today's listening test. I would imagine that a 50% increase might though. I compared this Amp against a Lehmann Audio Amplifier from way back - the "Black Cube" and the Lehmann makes the THX AAA 887 sound like an inexpensive FM...- microchip

Monoprice Monolith THX 887 - Impressions Thread
Just had a listen to one with my Musical Fidelity DAC and compared it to my Lehmann Headphone Amplifier - the Lehmann knocks socks off the THX I'm afraid. Mistral Audio HP-509 vacuum tube amplifier
Bought one of these several months ago along with a few 6N2P-EB Valves and had about 3 listens, comparing it to a Little Dot MK4 and my "Secret" all Transistor Headphone Amp that sounds awesome. The Mistral sounds very thin and weedy in comparison to the other two Headamps. Maybe needs a lot...- microchip

Before you buy headphones: A hopefully helpful guide for newbies
Forgot to mention that I usually listen via a Headphone Amplifier or Integrated Amplifier and that I am a experienced listener - however I do not want to hear about STREAMING or PORTABLE Players such as phones and such like - I much prefer listening to quality music via CD and real...- microchip
