What I find most interesting about your replies to this thread is that you always address channel matching and not what is being asked. It was the variation of sound and FR unit to unit being called into question. Not the channel matching. In fact the measurements back up what you are saying...- Penguino

The point of those graphs is completely lost on you, isnt it? Im not attacking the final product and neither are those graphs. You can like that and its ok to like that. But unit variations has been an issue for some people and its hard to deny that.- Penguino

If Crin's measurements aren't good enough you should release your own. You have the best rig and definitely the best sample size possible. 100 unique units with your rig should be plenty to dispel this whole situation.- Penguino

Who said anything about torches? I feel like you guys are honestly playing the victim hard here really hard when I don't see much of anything directly offensive towards you guys and it. As for the channel matching I cannot help but agree. The dynamics involved would be incredibly random but...- Penguino

are you implying someone with the biggest iem database that is used regularly by this whole community does not know what they are doing? I feel like that is frankly insulting to him. We all put hours if not days of our lives into this hobby. Why doubt someone spending so much time doing this?- Penguino

Unfounded is not the word I would put to what I am suggesting nor what is being discussed. I gave plenty of disclaimer that what I am suggesting is not factually correct and pure speculation. I do not think anyone should take what I am saying as fact. If you wish to dismiss them as that you may...- Penguino

Did you not read my post? I suggested that because the mid range BA was ported it may be causing this issue. Normal BAs are a closed system that does not normally vent. The mid range in this IEM does.- Penguino

Also Crin does the upmost to ensure that his measurements are consistent. Same rig, same tips, same insertion depth, ect. The issue lies within the units, not the person measuring it in this case.- Penguino

Well it is possible I guess that they could do batches of BA assemblies and measure those to match them. But I'm not sure how effective that would be in practice. I'd like to clarify that I'm not claiming this is the case I am merely intrigued and the idea came across my mind.- Penguino

Alright I have a theory but let me preface this with a fat disclaimer that I have no idea if this is the case nor do I have any ability to test it. Even more so I do not encourage anyone to. As shown below Andromeda is assembled using some hot glue. This is fine of course and I'm not knocking...- Penguino

Its not up to you and your anecdotal evidence to determine whether or not there is QC issues. Its up to measurements and people that have had the opportunity to hear multiple units. People have reported hearing unit variance but these measurements bring light to how severe it is. If everyone...- Penguino

Read the post. The issue is that CFA seems to have kinda dropped the ball on the QC here. Some units are good, some are bad. You may have a solid unit but playing the lottery with 1.5k tickets isn't on a lot of people's to do list.- Penguino

Can't even take a differing opinion. So ya'll resort to your subjective definition of what "makes a good review"(it was initial impressions) or "quantifies a real impression". Snow flakes. Resorting to that sort of argument is null because it has very little to do with what is being said in the...- Penguino
