    Update: I originally purchased my Utopia from Crutchfield, and their customer support is beyond belief. They usually ship USPS to Hawaii (free freight), but on the Utopia and a pair of Klipsch speakers, I requested UPS or FEDEX and they shipped it no extra charge (was not cheap on the speakers)...

But there is one review of the Utopia out there that mentions how other headphones sound veiled when you go back to them.     I currently own the Utopia and am considering the Z1R as a 2nd headphone, but if what you say is true, why bother? It seems the ZR1 would seem veiled and lacking in detail and resolution. Or would we be talking similar to tube amps here? Maybe the Sony has a seductive, alluring sound? Perhaps...

    It's best to think ahead and get a tube amp designed to work with both speakers and headphones, in my case, I bought a Woo Audio 5SE. I mainly bought the amp since it had the power output to handle any headphone out there, but I did buy a modest set of speakers for $1500 back then in 2010...
