So... you have experience you've looked at features checklists and it wasn't a productive approach. I think to me is simpler. I wish sine daps out there had features that the M5S has, so yes, I want more for my money.

I think they're cheaper because they're either laggy, posses less features, or a step down in sound (presumably) I'm not trying to compare the bests of the M5S against the worst of the above mentioned like most people do, but rather be fair in why I think the higher price is justified.

I tend to separate Bluetooth & Tidal apart from stored music & cables/balanced. I will even risk it and say that either LDAC or Tidal streaming present losses, at least somewhere in the traveling of information. It's just not the same as wires. But don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of BT. In fact...

I know! I'm hating here, especially since theyre the ones who probably sold the most phones. Will it have LDAC as they say it will though?

Does this mean no more updates to fix upsampling issues once they're all fixed? ...assuming the v30 won't jump into a new version on Android anytime soon. I'm on the fence for a v30 but with all those caveats I don't know if my music will be better off just with a DAP

I don't know anymore, since it doesn't make any sense for me to do such thing. There is indeed a 2.5mm balanced cable. One whole piece. They're an audio store so doing that just does feel right.

I don't like thic/braided cables for iems as they're stiff and noisier IMO. But I think the balanced one in the link it's rather an SE but they add a 3.5 to 4.4 adapter and make you pay 24 SGD for it too.
