    EQ Settings for 700+ Headphones

Yes, Sorry. I wasn't clear. I mean testing all 3 options, Sample 1, Sample 2 and the Average. But cool, I didn't know Wavelet allow external imports. Easier than migrating those GEQ files into Neutron support format.

    EQ Settings for 700+ Headphones

Unless your sample is the actual Sample 1 or Sample 2 I guess. I tried to listen to all three, and actually think Sample 2 sound the best, but as I mentioned - I'm a new in Audio, and I probably can't identify Harman. In that case, I think for me personally, it's better to set the PEQ for all...

    EQ Settings for 700+ Headphones

Oh, so "KZ DQ6" is basically Sample 1 and Sample 2 averaged? All 3 sound quite different. I'm new to Audio, so I'm not sure, but what's the purpose of create average, does it make sense to use the averaged result? the averaged results will be closer to the "true" harman curve?

    EQ Settings for 700+ Headphones

Thanks for a great job! Quick question. I was checking KZ DQ6 results, and there's 3 under crinacle. "KZ DQ6", "KZ DQ6 (Sample 1)" and "KZ DQ6 (Sample 2)". I'm only seeing two samples on crinacle? (I might be wrong). How does applications like Wavelet pick what to use? because it will only show...

    TRN impressions thread

Yep, few days ago I got the same problem with the BLON BL-03 unit. That's why I was looking for alternative. It's it moist around here, as I live 3-4Km from the Sea, but not insanely moist. I'm not sure it's a filter issue. I replaced the filter, and test it without any filter at some point, I...

    TRN impressions thread

Hi everyone, After trying BLON-Bl03 and KZ DQ6, I'm still in search for good metal IEMs. BA5 was mentioned in couple of other threads as good candidate, but there was a lot of early QA issues (channel imbalance). Is that still the case in 2021? as I can't easily return product on my country...

IEM for metal music and hard rock - ultimate solution

Hi everyone! I'm new to the Audio. Trying to experiment with budget IEMs for now (up to 50-60$). I really liked the BLON BL-03 (with Mesh mod and FinalAudio Type E tips), but technicality was a bit of an issue for metal. DQ6 had better technicality, but I found the bass to be a bit...

Thanks. So I'll order the Mesh. Hopefully I can extract it without wrecking it :P

Blon in ear monitors impressions thread

Thank you. So At least on the Bass front, the BL-03 has warmer bass, better rumble and higher punch quality and more bloated bass (with the Mod), but seems that all around the DQ6 has better and tighter bass. So It might not worth fiddling with the Mesh mod. I might just stick with stock, use...

Blon in ear monitors impressions thread

Well, the DQ6 are on the way. I didn't enjoy the bass on the BL-03. I found it lacking when the music is busy. Question is - should I mod it for a faster/tighter bass, or the DQ6 will do that better anyhow and the specific BL-03 bass has it own benefit on specific kind of music genres (so I'll...

Blon in ear monitors impressions thread

I also find the bass muddy. As for now, I was able to tune it down a bit with EQ, but I wonder if the Mesh mod worth a try. Question is: 1. Is the end results of the Mesh mod is basically like tuning the bass down with EQ? 2. This mod seems a bit destructive? can I remove the mesh without...

Thank you, It was mentioned to me here, that's that's good curve for metal music. I'll try to adjust some-where near it. Wonder how it will sound. Wish I had a way to show this Curve, and my Curve on a single display, so I can play with my Curve, see how close it get to the reference.

I'm not sure I still do, but I just wasn't clear what's the benefit on change the gain/q on Oratory frequencies, It was picked as you mentioned just to compensate the graph. So it's kinda like shooting in the dark trying to modify those? wouldn't it be better for a newbie to use a 10 frequencies...

Blon in ear monitors impressions thread

I mean, I wondered why playing with those specific frequencies mentioned on the Oratory PEQ. For example - he picked 350hz and modified the gain/Q on that region - I assume, to get nearer the Hermen curve. So wouldn't a better thing would me trying to identify what bother me, check the...

Well, sounds like I'm on a good spod. BL03 for timbre, and DQ6 for technicalities :-) Question is where do I fit the MEE M6 Pro. If they add any benefit, or I should just gift them to someone. :-8

By the way, with RikudouGoku's help, I was able to bring them into a tone that fill more "Full" to me compared to Oratory Harman (and the Treble are less sharp too): 200 Hz, 0.6Q, -5db (Low Shelf) 3500 Hz, 2Q, 1db (Peak) 10000 Hz 1Q, 2db (High Shelf). This lowered the Boomy bass, and opened...

Thank you. I tried Oratory's both Harman and his own curve, and preferred the Harman. Poweramp Equaliser? will check it out, thank you. Been using Wavelet, but it has no PEQ, just normal EQ. By the way, your settings set 4800 as high shelf but It's peak on Oratory? Peak I think sounds better...

IEM for metal music and hard rock - ultimate solution

Thank you, kept it as reference. So I guess I'll check review on either the DQ6 or TRN BA5, see which is is preferred and go with that. Any specific tips that go well with that?

IEM for metal music and hard rock - ultimate solution

Those do are above 100$, which isn't what I'm aiming for right now (mostly because I still looking for what I like, an I prefer to experience on low budget IEMs). That's are also in the budget option. What makes those better than the DQ6, and why should I prefer one over the other? Thanks!

Two Steps from Hell is something I listen too often (they call is "Bombastic Music" here). As a matter of fact, a lot of the Metal I'm listening (called Symphonic Metal) is closely tied to this kinda of music: So that's probably why the Blon having problem with that :) (by the way, joined the...

Yea, I guess it's worth doing the research. Maybe they aren't that big, and the price difference it worth it  Are you using any specific EQ to do that? load Oratory results and tweak from there (easily) and output a PEQ settings players can read? (Neutron Player)?

IEM for metal music and hard rock - ultimate solution

Hi everyone! I'm new to IEM and audio, and I have learned the hard-way not all IEM works with Metal music :-) I started with the MEE M6 Pro, and the treble were way too bright. As I listen to a lot of Symphonic Metal, this was painful. My 2nd purchase was the BLON-BL03. The tremble were much...

Isn't Hip hop is also very bass oriented, so why isn't the slower bass an issue there? Googles "timbre" :-) So I assume they will most likely shine in acoustic music where there is a big emphasis on instruments (Folk rock for example), but those instruments doesn't overwhelm all at once (like...

THANK YOU! Have been googling for something like that for a while now, and couldn't find anything satisfying! So do I have a reason to keep the BL-03? it was mentioned they do acoustic music very good. But isn't a better technical headphones like the DQ6 will do even better? The DIY Foam trick...
