Right. But it won't take much to add an option to disable charging. I too think they won't do it until many users request it. How is the v20 compared to the X5iii sound wise?

I was able to do it on my Oneplus One running LineageOS Nougat. I just connected directly and used a player that had USB DAC support built in( powerAmp alpha build, hiby music, etc). No workarounds needed in my case. I wish it didn't drain battery from my phone.

Is there a way to prevent usb charging when I connect my android phone to the x5 3rd gen is DAC mode? It starts charging, quickly draining my phone's battery! :/
