I bought these new from Korea in late 2018 when I learned that they were being discontinued. Shortly after getting them I lost interest in headphones as a hobby and put them away in their box. The earphones are like new and include all of their accessories and packaging. I am looking to get $400...- LukeVivolo

Modifying WM1Z/A
What capacitors should I replace in a wm-2? I'm trying to listen to this Al B. Sure! tape I found on the ground in a parking lot, but i want to make sure it sounds good. I'm not making a joke by the way, the caps in this thing are really old and probably should be replaced.- LukeVivolo

Modifying WM1Z/A
I have a Gilmore CFA halfway put together. Cold joints are trouble regardless of the circuit. The cold joints may have no effect on the sound, but they can cause the player to break in the future, especially since this is a portable device.- LukeVivolo

Modifying WM1Z/A
just messing around. There seem to be a few cold joints in your wm1a. The solder surface should be even and not look rough or lumpy. This could lead to unreliable connections.- LukeVivolo

Modifying WM1Z/A
I replaced the capacitors in my iPod shuffle with capacitors I made with jaguar urine. I believe that the bass speed has improved. Jaguars are fast animals, so it makes sense that their urine is a fast electrolyte. Has anyone tried a similar mod with the WM1Z/A?- LukeVivolo

Perhaps an improperly formatted SD card? Is there an SD card in? I remember it flashing red if it has an improperly formatted SD card. It will fade red if the battery is low.- LukeVivolo

Are there any other Op-amps besides the OPA1662 that work well with the nuansa P1? I am looking to get a few to try out. Also, regarding the battery issue, I remember seeing that you can buy batteries on ebay for ~$10. I thought that the batteries were only an issue for the US an Thailand. It...- LukeVivolo

KOSS ESP-950 Thread
I don't think that they changed anything besides the color and the pads. The description on massdrop says "The rest stays true to the original"- LukeVivolo

KOSS ESP-950 Thread
It seems that they no longer include the case or the battery pack, they changed the color, and they have changed the pads to velour. One of the massdrop employees said that they were comparable to the stax SRS-5100 system, but the stax had a "low-end response less engaging than the ESP/95X"- LukeVivolo

Kumitate (くみたて) Lab: A Triumph and Celebration of DIY - Impressions Thread
Hi! I received my TRIOs back from Kumitate lab today. Does anyone have any recommendations on what tips to use with it? Also, I find that the treble is a little too harsh for my taste. I saw that someone installed white Knowles dampers in the nozzles to give the trio the same tuning at the black...- LukeVivolo

Hello. Does anyone have experience re-cabling zen v1s? I have an opportunity to buy a broken pair and I was wondering if there is anything I should know before trying to re-cable them. Cavalli Audio's Liquid Carbon 2.0 - Owners Impressions
Does anyone else's amp have a ground wire connected to the power jack? I bought a liquid carbon used for parts, because one channel was dead, but when I got it, everything seemed to work fine. The previous owner said that they got it at CanJam 2015. I guess they were sold a demo unit since the...- LukeVivolo

Earbuds Round-Up
I am in Florida. I have experience soldering, but I am more afraid of damaging the drivers when I take them apart. I don't know if they are held together with glue or something. I guess that the voice coils and the cable are the only possible points of failure. I was more looking for someone...- LukeVivolo

Hello. I have an opportunity to buy a broken pair of Zen V1's. I am thinking that they just need to be re-cabled, but I am not sure. Has anyone had the drivers on the zen v1 fail? Also, can anyone recommend someone who could re-cable them? I don't really trust myself to do it. Thanks!- LukeVivolo

Earbuds Round-Up
I have not seen any flat cables for sale, but you could find a cheap earbud with a flat cable and use that. To change cables you will need a soldering iron, i recommend getting a nice one with temperature control like the hakko FX888D. Soldering is fairly easy, but you should get some practice...- LukeVivolo
