Nice cable, I am looking for customizing my R1 with tips and a new cable, I've seen different options and I would need some help... Do you recommend a cable? 6 / 8 /16 cores? Does it affect (in positive or negative) to the sound? wich supplier? Wich tips are you using? I like the black foam...

    IMR - R1 Thread

I am using the R1 with Chord Mojo. I am very happy with the sound!! I also have the Ifi Nano but in my opninion the Mojo is way better Good detail, image and the music sounds so natural… For jazz, rock and classical (especially violins and piano) sounds so real and I am discovering nuances and...

    Chord Mojo(1) DAC-amp ☆★►FAQ in 3rd post!◄★☆

Yes, I posted that before. I did.I connected the Mojo to the PC, put the headphones on the other out (side opposite the lights), wait 1 hour and then checked and still sounded better the out that was on the light side even when the other out was working for more than 1 hour.

    Chord Mojo(1) DAC-amp ☆★►FAQ in 3rd post!◄★☆

Mine has the same problem. The Headphones out on the side of the leds have a bad contact and sometimes I loose the signal. The problem is that after some checking of one friend and myself we noticed that on the out that is not working well the sound is slightly better (warmer) than the other...

    Android: Neutron Music Player

Hi. Sorry if that was answered before. Can Neutron stream the music from Spotify? If not, there is any app that can stream Spotify in Android to the external DAC (I am using a Chord Mojo and a Samsung S7e). Thanks,

    Chord Mojo(1) DAC-amp ☆★►FAQ in 3rd post!◄★☆

I did, and my friend also think it sound slightly more defined and warmer in one output than the another. Perhaps the output I've used always is "burned-in", but it sound slightly better, it is not my only perception.

Chord Electronics - Hugo 2 - The Official Thread

Hi, Waiting for the first review of the H2, but I have 2 questions regarding of my usage of it (connected in my main system as well as in portable use connected to a laptop):   -Is the coaxial input of the Hugo2 able to receive DSF files (as DSD64 over PCM) from my actual streamer (cambridge...

Chord Electronics - Hugo 2 - The Official Thread

Thanks for the explanations and mesurements! I note that you are comparing basically with Dave, so it implies that Hugo2 is (at least) tecnically better than Hugo TT? I like the USB input is better isolated from RF interferences despite it is not galvanically isolated. I hope the coaxial input...

Review: CHORD HUGO 2 by ZHIYU

Thanks for the review and comments! Did you try/compare the quality of the inputs (optical/Coaxial/USB) ? Do you know if that demo unit contains the final code? Despite it is only a demo unit and commercial units will change, did you had some cables/adapters (specially a coaxial adapter)...

Chord Electronics - Hugo 2 - The Official Thread

Thanks for the explanation Rob. Will Chord supply a quality 3.5mm adaptor with the Hugo 2? This will be my main connection to my streamer. It will be nice if Chord can organize a "demo tour" like the one it is organized in Canada in other countries, specially in Spain where I am living :-)...

Chord Electronics - Hugo 2 - The Official Thread

Despite there are a lot of doubts for this new codec, It would be nice if Chord releases the Hugo2 fully compliant with the MQA standard. If Universal Music Group supports this standard and some streaming companies like Tidal also supports it perhaps it will be important in the near future In...

Chord Electronics - Hugo 2 - The Official Thread

I would prefer a "standard" RCA or BNC connection, rather than a (cheap?) adaptor to conect to the 3,5mm input and my RCA coax cable. I honestly think we must be a little serious with the cables/connections and avoid adaptors in the music chain, at least at this level of SQ (and price).

Chord Electronics - Hugo 2 - The Official Thread

Most streamers or other systems have RCA connectors for coax digital output. Is there any cable with good quality (i don't want to use a 3 USD cable in a machine of 2200 USD) that offers an RCA connexion in one side and a 3,5 mm input on the other side to avoid the usage of adaptors?

Chord Electronics - Hugo 2 - The Official Thread

+1 I don't like at all we have to use an adaptor for coax digital input. As I will use it basically with my main system I don't understand why they forced us to use an adaptor an not a RCA connector as the Hugo1 :-(

Chord Electronics - Hugo 2 - The Official Thread

I assume that will be some cables with RCA/minijack but most of them are quite cheap and bad. But it is sad you can not use some good Digital Coaxial cables finished with RCAs connexions as the standard (or good USB cables, not micro-USB). In my opinion Hugo have sense if you can use it in your...

Chord Electronics - Hugo 2 - The Official Thread

In my opinion the facts that the headphone output is powerful, battery last less hours and some comments about the design as well that now we have the Mojo I would use Hugo in my main amplifier with loudspeakers or in my desk with a computer and headphones etc.. This is for me what I want the...

Chord Electronics - Hugo 2 - The Official Thread

Waiting to read your impressions. I think it will be a nice dac. I only find 1 problem, if it is more focused as an stationary device than Hugo1 why the digital coaxial connection must be done through and adpator and not with a normal RCA coaxial cable as was in the Hugo 1 ??? I don't want to...

Chord Electronics - Hugo 2 - The Official Thread

A portable computar (as my McBook Air) working with their bateries not plugged in will have less RF noise than a desktop computer wired to the power? So it is less important the galvanic isolation in a portable computer? Or an streamer connected to Hugo2 with the coaxial input? Sorry if this is...

Chord Electronics - Hugo 2 - The Official Thread

I think the same. For me the most important thing that must be improved in Hugo2 is the ability to feed difficult headphones (HD800S) with authority, good dynamics and body. It was the reason I did not buy Hugo1 before. As it will be the DAC/headphones amplifier of my main system it is crucial...

Chord Electronics - Hugo 2 - The Official Thread

As I will not use the Hugo2 in "train, plane, bus...", but only inside house as a main DAC in my amplifier/loudspeakers system or "portable" to my desk/ etc. to hear with a MacBook and headphones (this is for me the concept "portable") I would like to have for a Poly:   1. RJ45 ethernet port...
