Did you fixed this already? When you remove the foam pads , you'll see there are 6 Allen screws that keep the speaker driver in place. You only need to unscrew to free the driver. Becareful with the solder and also do not tight the screws when you install the driver back!

These Generic L pads they increase much more the lower end that (in a way) stress my ears than the original L pads of Grado! (btw are you will to sell your sr60e drivers)

Yes indeed ,vented drivers have impoved bass but there is no need to do with Flat pads

If you want a more fuller,balanced and not so fatigued sound you should NOT open holes and try the flats!
