CHORD ELECTRONICS DAVE
Thanks and I understand the concern with the latest ADAM pro speakers with their built-in ADCs / DACs. One would not be making full use of the DAVE with such a pairing. Fortunately, I will be using the Classic Column Mk3, mainly because of the superb X-ART (AMT based) tweeters and mids. These...- nicoludio

CHORD ELECTRONICS DAVE
Thanks. I could have the interconnects terminated with RCA plugs at the DAVE end and XLR plugs at the speaker end, so taking advantage of the DAVE's better quality and lower level single ended outputs. Having said that, I guess the op amps in the DAVE should be of a better quality than that in...- nicoludio

CHORD ELECTRONICS DAVE
Hello Rob and all, I am considering using the DAVE connected directly to ADAM active speakers which have XLR inputs only. I understand that the speakers are fully balanced internally, with single ended input signals converted - using op amps - into a balanced signal prior to amplification...- nicoludio

Chord Electronics - Blu Mk. 2 - The Official Thread
For those who intend to use digital room correction and/or DSP EQ with the DAVE/Blu 2, do you have any recommendation or tried any of the available EQ software in the market to be able to come to a conclusion as to which might do the least damage to the signal going into the DAVE/Blu 2? One can...- nicoludio

CHORD ELECTRONICS DAVE
Interesting observations. Its been a while since I read this entire thread from the beginning but I was under the impression that the DAVE is relatively source insensitive when using its USB input. I use the Melco N1A but have been exploring alternatives, mainly to try Acourate and, possibly...- nicoludio

CHORD ELECTRONICS DAVE
Quite amazed (in a good way) that you managed to fit the Puppies into that room size. I would have thought that the bass would have been overblown and the early reflections would mess up the sound a bit, especially on the orchestral peaks. If you are considering digital room correction, you...- nicoludio

Chord Electronics - Blu Mk. 2 - The Official Thread
Thanks for the detailed impressions. Was it Rob who said that distortions can be perceived to provide better detail ...? Based on what you have heard, would not the incremental improvements justify the outlay? Or, would be a case that some may not appreciate the improvements wrought? I...- nicoludio

Chord Electronics - Blu Mk. 2 - The Official Thread
Interesting system you have there. The 845 PP reminds me of my previous Line Magnetic LM219IA. I am in the market for a DAVE sometime down the line, and have always wondered about the pre vs direct route. My impression (might not be totally accurate), from reading the tons of information on...- nicoludio
