MrSpeakers Ether CX - $899 from Massdrop
That sucks. I had great experience with a different design for the CX. https://a.aliexpress.com/_mKoyfEA I think that's easy repairable.- mjavate

Thanks again (mikewr)! Great communication, patient and understanding with the shipping delay caused by the storm. Zero issues during the entire exchange and thankful to build a trust with.- mjavate

MrSpeakers Ether CX - $899 from Massdrop
I also swapped the pads with a pair from AliExpress. https://a.aliexpress.com/_mPv0v0X I have not done any proper A/B so I can only chime in on the comfort. The stock pads felt stuffy to my large ears. I opted for this aftermarket one which was the closest I can get to something like the Voce...- mjavate

I understand AGD has been around for years, along with some history (both good and bad)... I'm super late as I first heard about them last year when I came across the Fun model.- mjavate

So many nice setups, inspires me to re-org my stack. It's conveniently set up with my WFH desk at the moment. AGD R2R-1 DAC & DFR -> AGD NFB-1AMP. NFB-1AMP -> pre-out-> EC ZDT Jr. This chain allows me to pipe audio from the 2 sources to the ZDT without recabling.- mjavate

Love this! One person's struggle and finding a solution to a problem that turned into a genius solution. You should thank your wife for this. 😂 And like all hobbies. Your cart could use some upgrades. I suggest new caster replacements with abec 5 rollerblade wheels.- mjavate

Did you end up buying a pair? While I like my CX, I'm not in love with them. You'll need a decent amp to power them as they are not efficient. To get where they sound to my liking, I have to EQ them. When I cycle to them in my rotation, from something like a 6XX-- my immediate first...- mjavate

What is a good DAC and Amp for the Sundara for about $800?
If I had a $800 budget for a dac/amp. I'd opt for the ifi Diablo. It has a lot of power. Balanced out and it's portable. Especially if you like to keep it simple.- mjavate

I have been avoiding EQ for sometime and try to enjoy my set for what they are and how they are tuned from the factory. Once you delve into it, there's no going back lol. Now your whole listening process needs a revamp....As is all things with hobbies like this. Which is the fun part.- mjavate

i've seen those cloth/knit covers on amazon/ebay, but I just opted for loose leather pieces for the sake of matching the design.- mjavate

So sorry to both. :frowning2:((((((((((((((((((((((( Wife was tested positive on 4/15 and fortunate to have experienced a high fever for 3-4 days with no complications. She just got out of isolation today to get a 2nd test. I acquired the Nighthawks that same week and and my 1st world...- mjavate

OUCH. I guess no headphone stand then? I'm starting to question the lifespan of the cup suspension now. No luck with AQ support either, seems like they only have the N.Owl ear pads and to reach out to an authorized dealer. thanks- mjavate

Headband padding, esp on the edges-- I was really surprised. I thought it was some smudge-- as I try to wipe it off, it got worse. On the edge, there is threading and that's loose too. Really weird. As for the pads, they are totally fine so far. We can always rely on aftermarket and so long...- mjavate

Apologies if I miss this discussion in the 625 pages... But has anyone's head padding worn off yet? Just recently acquired NOS NH's less than a month ago. Pretty sure it was brand new, everything inside looked untouched and a plastic tie on the zippers... and in less than a month, the...- mjavate
