I did something very similar with my modius, and had zero issues. Xlr outputs went to my magnius, rca to my valhalla 2. Both dac outputs were active simultaneously. I had emailed schiit to make sure it wasn't an issue, and they confirmed it was fine

For my starfields the only tips that saved me from giving up and getting a good seal were the sedna xelastec. A little pricey, but very grippy and held a seal for me. I usually use a medium tip, but found a half size smaller worked better for the xelastecs
