ATH M40X to Sony RF995 Wireless for Guitar
Hi, I wish to go wireless when practicing guitar and change my current ATH M40X to RF wireless ones without breaking the bank. Also, play music backing tracks through them. Obviously latency is import hence UHF RF and not the later 240g Had a lot of use out of the M40"s but are now looking...- Pacemaker1000

I am considering the two above which both come with detachable cables Can someone tell me if either can be used with a standard 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable or whether they use unique connectors at the headphone end? Thanks- Pacemaker1000

Need a low latency wireless headphone
Wanted to add to this although it's a bit late. I tried the latest aptx LL format headphones and transmitter claimed as best Bluetooth out there and although perfect for lip sync watching video it still is too slow for live guitar playing. RF wireless are still the only option- Pacemaker1000

Latency, Bluetooth Specs and Scullcandy claims
Received and tested the above headphones and transmitter. Unfortunately no good for the guitar as proposed. Can report that they successfully pair at aptx LL and sound very good. But despite the claimed spec of only 33ms latency this is noticeable when playing the guitar. On a better note they...- Pacemaker1000

Latency, Bluetooth Specs and Scullcandy claims
As a matter of interest for readers, sound travels at roughly one foot a millisecond. So if these phones work as suggested then sound should be equivalent to standing 35 foot away from instrument.- Pacemaker1000

Latency, Bluetooth Specs and Scullcandy claims
Bit the bullet and bought the Avantrees. Great deal of digging revealed these to be the only reasonably priced low latency headphones. I have paired them with an iClever transmitter, so fingers crossed. Aptx LL has a supposed latency of less then 40ms compared to 150ms for standard aptx and...- Pacemaker1000

Latency, Bluetooth Specs and Scullcandy claims
Technical advice needed Ok searched the net and drawing a blank with Scullcandy especially. I want a good set of phones for mainly guitar use so obviously latency is a big issue with Bluetooth. Now I understand apt-x is the new format? But there is also apt-x Low Latency as well. The latter...- Pacemaker1000
