xduoo xd05 bal2 vs bal1
No mate ABSOF$CKINGLUTELY NO! No way, ZERO noise. There's something wrong with your device or cable or source, try changing something also the headphones. If this doesn't change then it's a RMA case.- arrow0309

Honestly I'm using it on battery most of the times, last time I've used it on my desktop was over the last 4-5 days, now I've a brand new SMSL DL300 so the XDuoo it's back on the battery mode, mainly for my TV in bluetooth or optical (night time listening) or for the CD Player.- arrow0309

I meant line in (Aux) on the Bal 2, line out from the cd player. Max level is 8-9 on SE but rarely. The Anandas on 4.4mm need less always, max 5-6.- arrow0309

xduoo xd05 bal2 vs bal1
XDuoo's drivers but also listening on my TV in bluetooth or at my CD Player CD11 Tribute (in line out rca stereo to 3.5mm) in Aux mode will always have the same listening levels more or less, never on High gain. I mean Jeez is a powerful 1.5W output little thing, plenty of power for my K712...- arrow0309

xduoo xd05 bal2 vs bal1
Hi you gotta be crazy using the Bal2 in high gain with high sensitivity IEMs! I'm using it in low gain (same SE) with the AKM 712 Pro way harder to drive headphones than your IEMs. No wonder why can you see some noise, put them on low gain mate and (just) try to listen at a lower volume, your...- arrow0309

A little late for the reply aren't you? Like one month late lol. Anyway I have figured that out long ago and it has gone off my desktop, now I'm using a DX5 in dac mode and an A30 Pro XLR connected. The Xduoo Bal2 is still with me, hoping for a long time but using it as mobile dac with iems and...- arrow0309

xduoo xd05 bal2 vs bal1
Hi, I have a question. I've recently got an Xduoo XD05 Bal2 which I'm using (mainly) as a desktop dac and headphone amp now. I was looking at this new SMSL nice and cheap dac (which is btw on sale at Shenzhen audio right now). I would like to use it as dac with the volume control and use my Bal...- arrow0309

YULONG Aurora, small but perfectly formed AIO DAC/Pre/HeadAmp
Small update and another chapter that's closed. So I've bought the K9 Pro ESS about 20 days ago (good price, open box) and used it intensively with music and pc gaming. Yesterday evening I decided to put it on ebay sale and it has just sold this morning lol. So I'm back at my sweet Aurora and...- arrow0309

YULONG Aurora, small but perfectly formed AIO DAC/Pre/HeadAmp
I just bought the older model of Hifiman Ananda (discounted from the Hifiman store) for a little over £300 (shipped). How do you guys think they'll run with our DA-ART Aurora? Also, I have been thinking to try the Fiio K9 pro ESS, for more soundstage and imaging (during the mp gaming like Hunt...- arrow0309

YULONG Aurora, small but perfectly formed AIO DAC/Pre/HeadAmp
Hi, the second one should be OK, 12v and 4.6A max is good. The Talema core is better or at least they say so. One other thing is that you'd (better) need 5.5x2.1mm ("plug estilos"), mine is 2.5mm, a little bit loose but still working. 2.1mm is best for our Aurora.- arrow0309

YULONG Aurora, small but perfectly formed AIO DAC/Pre/HeadAmp
I usually switch the power off from the little switch on the back but leave everything plugged and with the led on, same goes for my pc, two monitors and pretty much everything (although their idle leds are different). I wouldn't worry much about the little psu, it's easily replaceable and imho...- arrow0309

YULONG Aurora, small but perfectly formed AIO DAC/Pre/HeadAmp
Small update on the Aurora's psu, in the end I decided that I didn't like to spend extra money for a hifi audiophile grade expensive psu (also because I had to pay about £90 extra for duty tax when I've received it). So I just bought this one from amazon (arrived today from Germany)...- arrow0309

YULONG Aurora, small but perfectly formed AIO DAC/Pre/HeadAmp
I'm pretty happy so far and even if it's still early I hope I'll be fully satisfied with the device. It ain't small, just the perfect size for my desktop, a little smaller than my previous K9 Pro (which is imho nice) and the volume pot is not bad. Again, two more "issues" some people dislike are...- arrow0309

YULONG Aurora, small but perfectly formed AIO DAC/Pre/HeadAmp
I am going to use my Edifier s351db active speakers (occasionally) with my new Aurora (arriving tomorrow) but in the preamp mode. That's a preamp meant for, it ain't an amp for passive speakers. But you can use it in dac mode as well I suppose.- arrow0309

Hi, received yesterday my new FH5 from aliexpress and strangely even brand new they were missing the stock (attached) medium balanced tips. So I used the bass medium tips. Thanks, I'm gonna keep the MDR-1A if you say are better sounding. Yeah, I've noticed they're not very well isolated, especially when travelling with the noisy London underground every day. Hope after the Dynamat Mod they should improve even more.- arrow0309
