OK thank you. I am curious on the fix you did, in which you applied that grease on the headphones. Where did you buy it and has there been any side since you applied the grease?

Well, this also happens when I am walking up steps. Is it normal that the music distorts when I am doing that?

    Sony MDR-1000X

Well basically when I shake my head lightly to one side, it fells like the driver is moving. It could be that I don't have a great seal.

So it didn't distort the music or anything when you shaked your head. Do you think mine are defective?

I got a quick question for you, Richard. When you shake your head with the headphones on, do you hear a light thump sound? Like if the drivers were moving?

    Sony MDR-1000X

Well, when there isn't any music playing it tends to block out 70% of noises and. However when there is a music playing it blocks out everything, I literally can't hear anything. And it tends to block out high pitched noises well also, but don't quote me on that side j haven't used them too much.

I wouldnt recomend them for the gym. Whenever I shake my head side to side, the music becomes distorted. Even if I shake my head lightly.

Nope, not even close to a wall. I think that the driver is too loose. Or it could be that my head is bumping into the headphones, since I probably don't have a good seal with the headphones. Do you think I should return them for this reason?

    Sony MDR-1000X

Quick question. Do you get a light thumping sound when you shake your head to the side. It sounds like someone lightly knocking on a door. If not, what do you think could be causing this problem, could it be my head bumping into the headphones?

    Sony MDR-1000X

Well Well, it kinda sounds like the driver is moving, but I'm not sure. The best I can describe it is like a slight knocking on a door kinda of a sound. Maybe you can try it out and see if it does the same thing. Just slightly shake your head to the side and see if it does that sound. It...

    Sony MDR-1000X

Well kind've. However, I feel like the noise is being amplified by the headphones. Could it be that I may not have a good seal with the headphones? I have other headphones and they don't seem to have the same problem. Sorry if I seem a little paranoid its because, I spent 400 bucks on some...

Is it normal to hear a "thump" when I shake my head while wearing the MDR 1000X? Is this the dreaded creaking sound you guys are talking about? Or do I just got a defective unit, and should I return them? Thank you very much for the help!
