Shure 1840 vs AKG 712
The Magni 3 has 3W RMS per channel at 16 ohms, while the Magni 2 has 1.8W RMS per channel at 16 ohms. So it should be significantly louder and it also has pre-outs for powered monitors.- Wyllio

Shure 1840 vs AKG 712
The Magni 3 is just better than the Magni 2 in every way. It was meant to be the replace for the Asgard 3.- Wyllio

Shure 1840 vs AKG 712
I'd say go with the AKG 712s, they're probably more tuned to your liking. The Shures on the other hand have been mentioned to be very boring sound. Also, don't get the Schiit Magni 2 instead get the Schiit Magni 3.- Wyllio

MrSpeakers AEON Flow Open - Impressions Thread
They should be very similar to terms of how hard it is to drive. The Aeon Flow Closed have a 93dB efficiency while the Aeon Flow Open have a 95dB rating. So the open variant should be slightly louder. And they're lighter by 19 grams.- Wyllio

Looking for new £150 headphones.
If you're specifically looking for closed headphones with good bass, I would highly recommend the V-Moda Crossfade M-100. Though you would have to stretch your budget to 200 quid. After that I would recommend the Sony MDR-1A and then the Audio-Technica ATH-M50X. I would steer away from...- Wyllio

IEM recommendations <£1000
Another mid-forward IEMs I would recommend are the Audiofly AF1120. I personally wouldn't buy the Shure 846s because there are far better options at the $1000 price point.- Wyllio

IEM Recs under $125
The Fiio F9 are a relatively new earphones. They have the over-ear design and use hybrid drivers with the same configuration as the 1More Triple Drivers. I'm not sure how they sound, but I think it's worth looking into for reviews.- Wyllio

Over the ear headphones for 10 year old, $50-$70
Status CB-1 closed headphone or OB-1 opened headphone. Take your pick, they're both good headphones for $79. If you're unwilling to spend the extra $10, the Sennheiser HD 471G is on sale on Amazon for $60. Another good option for the price.- Wyllio

Energize me, Shure 1540 or TH-X00 PH for EDM
If you plan on to get the Audeze SINE, I'd highly recommend you get them with the cipher cable. It will improve the experience and offers an EQ app, so you can tune the headphone to you liking. I personally don't like on-ear headphone, so they're usually not on my list of recommended headphones...- Wyllio

Headphone recomendation. No price limit, Prog ro
The Aeons are pretty much on par with their higher line up, Ether C Flow, for a much cheaper cost at $800. Compared to the LCD line the most noticeable difference is the extra imaging and resolution the Aeons have over the LCD. The aspect that LCDs might have over the Aeon would most likely be...- Wyllio

Energize me, Shure 1540 or TH-X00 PH for EDM
If big bass for EDM is your priority, then the Massdrop x Fostex TH-X00 would my top choice of headphones. I would also consider the Meze 99 Classics. If you are considering the Audeze iSines, I would probably skip the iSine 10 and go for the iSine 20 with the cipher cable for iOS.- Wyllio
