Suggestions for budget laptop headphones?
This is for a gift for a laptop user. They'd like headphones for listening to online sound - talk and music. They don't need a mic, it's not for gaming. I'd say the priorities are the best sound for the price, and comfort very important - smaller head. Any recommendations around $40-$50? Or...- Craig234

Connecting 1/8" headphones to ipad mini 3.5mm
Update: the person solved it. I'll spare them the indignity of the solution being posted here. Thanks. I got someone a pair of Samson 950 headphones which come with a 1/8" connector to use with an ipad mini. The plug is too big for the jack they said (also too big for the macbook pro...- Craig234

Inexpensive travel headphones
I'm being asked for a suggestion on some travel headphones for use with an iPad - they want to spend about $50. Any suggestions? Are over ear or in-ear clearly better?- Craig234

Convenient setup
Here's how I have my LCD-2's set up with a Deckard DAC/AMP: It has two inputs, USB and RCA. My computer goes to USB, and I bought an echo dot and a 3.5mm to RCA cable for the RCA. So, now, I can get all my computer sounds - gaming, youtubes - easily. And with the flick of a switch to...- Craig234

Did I even need an amp?
I got LCD-2 and the Audeze Deckard amp. Just now, I set up a little Amazon Echo Dot (paid $40) and hooked up the headphones directly to it through 3.5mm. It sounds just as good with the amp, is my first reaction. I was going to hook up the amp, but am not sure why bother.- Craig234

Cable adapter needed
My headphone amp has USB and RCA inputs. I'm interested in using it with an Amazon Echo Dot, so that I can access my music immediately with voice commands. The Dot has a 3.5mm input. So, I'm planning to get a 3.5mm male to RCA male x2 (stereo) adapter. Is it better to keep it short...- Craig234

Help me with first impressions of LCD-2
I bought my first 'high end' headphone system, the LCD-2 with the Deckard Amp. I've been playing it, using streaming audio from Amazon. I also own the Echo, with its mono bluetooth speaker, that I've been using previously - and liking. I had high expectations for the LCD-2. Energetic...- Craig234

About dolby
I've had a couple pairs of headphones that have a little box you can turn on dolby. I use them for gaming mostly. When I do, the sound sounds far away and 'airy' - a lot worse. It's hard to see the attraction. Any comments what it's good for?- Craig234

Audeze LCD-2 question
I ordered b stock Audeze LCD-2. I put in the note to only send them if they have the 'fazer' feature after seeing a note some might not. Is that a good idea to cancel over? I also saw some might be slightly older models - does it matter? Can they be upgraded?- Craig234

Is this a good purchase?
I haven't really had nice headphones, but I like quality music, so I've had my eye on better ones for some time. I've tried some like Sennheiser 598 IIIRC, and they're ok but would like the better ones. Finally it seems like I might have found a deal: the b stock Audeze sale, LCD-2 for...- Craig234
