5-10% sound improvement over a HD600? Buddy, you are using the wrong amp/dac.- RobinTim

The JPS Labs: Abyss AB-1266 Impressions Thread
So I am considering joining the TC family in a few weeks or so. To those who are connecting the balanced stock or superconductor cable: What adapter do you use to connect it to the back of the TT2? A few kind head-fi members have already offered their suggestions (thanks to @simorag in...- RobinTim

I am just listening to "Letter" by Yosi Horikawa on my TT2 / Utopias. And it boggles the mind. Edit: I wonder what it must sound like with an additional MScaler.- RobinTim

Focal Clear headphones
After seemingly falling out of love with high-end(ish) audio for a while, I bought myself a Hugo TT2 today to see if it can recandle things. It replaced my trusted Hugo 2. And so far, I absolutely love it. At first, I tried it with the Utopias. I find it a much better pairing than the Hugo 2...- RobinTim

Right now I am testing the TT2 with my Clears. A few of the songs that I loved with the Utopia were a bit duller sounding to my ears, if that makes sense. Now I have arrived at "When we dance" by Sting with Royal Philharmonical Concert Orchestra and it puts a big smile on my face. Anybody else...- RobinTim

Very nice setup. The MScaler would be the logical next step for sure. Hey, if anybody near Berlin wants to part with theirs I might jump on it. How would you describe the benefits of the Woo Audio WA22 in the chain? Would it take away a bit from the clarity?- RobinTim

Cheers bpcans! My only fear is that after this revelation Dave (2?) is the next logical step (in a few month or years perhaps). My significant other will not be pleased. To answer your question: I am using it directly, no Amp in between. As far as I understand Rob Watts, it would distort the...- RobinTim

As probably many before me, I today upgraded from my Hugo 2 to the TT2. I am positively shocked what a difference it makes. I was about to sell my Focal Utopias because I was not entirely sure about the pairing with the Hugo 2. But at least to my ears, the synergy with the TT2 is vastly better...- RobinTim

Hugo M Scaler by Chord Electronics - The Official Thread
It blows my tiny mind how much audio expertise some people possess... So if I understand correctly, the HMS should be the better option in comparison to the MScaler if one is not interested in CDs? Apart from the improved BNCs everything else is equal?- RobinTim

In my dream world, there is just one industrie standard adapter so that I can go crazy on purchasing aftermarket cables and dont have to sell or reterminate them once I move on to another pair of headphones.- RobinTim

Quality of the video aside, I never understood what good it would do to record the sound of ones soundsystem to present that to other people who will then listen to that on their own system. Could somebody enlighten me?- RobinTim

I think the price debate is a legitimate one and I also think this forum is a legitimate place to have it. What better place is there? In his last video Tyll Hertsens adressed the manufacturers of headphones and asked them to keep the prices reasonable. If critical debates arise around the topic...- RobinTim

Agreed on the latter part. Would be splendid to have a time window for the release though. What would be the next big hifi event in which the 2Go might make an appearance? If only the Hugo 2 wasnt so good, I would not be in such a hurry to pimp it to the next level.- RobinTim

So whats the deal with the 2Go? Any updates @Rob Watts ? Is it at least still in development? Otherwise I will now start looking into DAPs.- RobinTim
