In the video you can see the issue with "Gain" and how weirdly the navigation works with a 270° rotated screen (inverted scrolling)

Anybody else have an issue with gain switching? Selected gain does not correspond to the shown in the top of the screen. E.g. Select "Low" - get "M" on the display Select "High" - get "SH" etc

Try if touching the PC solves the issue as well. Do you have ground in the outlet the PC is powered from?

Who has VC in a wooden box (like the attached one)? Could you please measure the dimensions of the box and its total weight (approximate), including the headphones? Thanks

Most probably. Maybe it depends on computer OS, player etc. Seems, in DAP mode the battery lasts few times longer.

I have noticed one more annoying thing - the battery drains pretty fast even if you don't use the device but keep it connected to a laptop in USB DAC mode.

Could you perform a test when you have time: Use the ca1000 without charger to low the battery to 15-20% Connect the charger and use the ca1000 as a USB DAC On the second stage my ca1000 gets hot in around 20-30 minutes.

I have tried an old Samsung phone charger - the same "issue." The ca1000 becomes pretty hot in around 20 minutes after connecting.

It stops charging when the battery is fully charged, it doesn't seem good for the battery to be 100% charged all the time.

Yep, I will try another charger in the morning. The most critical feature I am expecting in further firmware updates is an option to bypass the battery when a charger is connected.

No 3rd party apps. I see this behavior only when both USBs are connected, and the battery is charging. There are no issues when the battery is fully charged (both USBs are connected) or when only the DATA USB is connected.

Is it common and considered normal when an CA1000 gets very hot (it's almost painful to hold a hand on it, so it should be more than 50°C) upon charging and using it as a USB DAC simultaneously? The ambient room temp is 24°C.

Noticed the issue of driver imbalance. I'm trying to solve it with the seller.
