T+A Solitaire T Wireless Headphone
Thanks for this recommendation. On a lark, I used my ST wired and plugged it in directly to my 2021 MacBook Pro M1 based on other comments that the DAC and Amp of this MacBook were excellent. The sound was indeed surprisingly excellent, but lacking a bit of depth and layering that a stand...- dasadab

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?
Are use mine on my iPhone exclusively. They are the best sounding earbuds I have owned— including the recently released XM5. I’m continuously surprised at how full, rich and detailed they sound. I have some high end wired IEM‘s. You can hear a clear difference, but the perl pro still have a wow...- dasadab

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?
i’ve spent over a week now with the denon perl pro. I returned the Sony XM 5s. I’m still very much enthusiastic about the sound quality of these. Really sharp, fun, engaging, and well balanced. Amazingly wide soundstage. A lot of punch. Excellent detail. By far the best that I have used and...- dasadab

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?
I received the Perl Pro today. Had to do a bit of fiddling with left ear to get a seal. Followed fellow traveler who noted in earlier thread that the Spinfit W1 did the trick for him and I happened to have some on hand. Excellent fit now. I just returned the Sony XM5s. The Sonys sounded...- dasadab

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?
Denon Perl Pro users, I am interested in joining the club. Denon's site reports a 60 day return policy, so that is good. I read in one post that while walking, there were dropouts. That's a non starter for me. I would appreciate any comments on outdoor walking stability with the connection...- dasadab

T+A Solitaire T Wireless Headphone
I have had my Ts for a few days now. I own a mix of mid-range headphones, and a few high end ones—Focal Utopias for one. I must say that I was reluctant to take the plunge and buy these for several reasons. First, having sampled a few bluetooth IEMs, they were decent but not close to my wired...- dasadab

64 Audio A12t/U12t Impressions
Quick cable question. I want to get a balanced 4.4 MM cable. Do I need a right angle on the two pins side? They seem hard to find. Just looking at the stock table, they have somewhat of a right angle connection with the two pin. I was thinking that that helped with the placement of the wire...- dasadab

Shanling M9 Announced - Flagship High-End Portable Player
I think you are correct. Thanks for the feedback. In the future, I will look for headphones that are fine without equalization for music that I download from a streaming service.- dasadab

Shanling M9 Announced - Flagship High-End Portable Player
Yes. I just checked it out. You are correct. Only with streaming content. I believe that Apple Music allows their equalization scheme with downloaded music. But I will check it out. Just checked it out. No access to equalizer. My goal was simply to equalize my Audeze IEM’s, because they could...- dasadab

Shanling M9 Announced - Flagship High-End Portable Player
I am a newbie, but UAPP, I noticed, supports Tidal and Qobuz and the equalizer options are available when you touch the mini bar graph on the bottom a song being played. This is from memory, but I think it’s correct.- dasadab

Shanling M9 Announced - Flagship High-End Portable Player
Another newbie and new to M9 question: I have been streaming and downloading music from Qobuz and Apple (lossless). Is there a PMEQ or other equalizer than I can use with downloaded (borrowed content) from Qobuz or Apple. I say borrowed because I just wanted to be clear that I am storing...- dasadab

What Have You Learned in the Search for Finding Music You Love? Tips for the Quest.
I mostly stream music from Qobuz and Apple Music (Lossless). I waste soooo much time searching, rather than listening, I am starting to think that ”the search” has taken over from ”the listening.” I do look to reviews from the NYT and do sometime look for suggestions of members, but I find...- dasadab

Shanling M9 Announced - Flagship High-End Portable Player
New M9 coming on Friday! I am really looking forward to it. I have one question. I am a newbie. I would like to be able to use the Roon headphone equalizer presets. I have some Audeze earbuds and headphones that really benefit from the presets. Could somebody please tell me the simplest way...- dasadab

DAP question for newbie to Daps
I am looking for a streaming DAP for my Audeze LCD i4 iem and my Audio64 u 12t. I was thinking of spending $800-$1500 or so. I noticed that there are some sales going on with offerings from Shanling and Hiby. FYI, I listened a iBasso dx170 and did not think it sounded as good as I had...- dasadab

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?
Also got my Bose Quiet Comfort II earbuds about an hour ago. I agree that the fit screws in with a great seal. I haven’t had a chance to try the ANC yet. The sound quality is punchy Bose style. Lots of base emphasis which can be toned down with the equalizer. I like the sound, but will neet...- dasadab

Lotoo Paw 6000 (2019)
Excellent suggestions. Thanks!! I did try the unfixed on the airplane, but I’ll try it again. It has been a long term problem that I have just lived with because I rarely use it with BT, but I’ll follow up with your suggestions. Thanks again.- dasadab

Lotoo Paw 6000 (2019)
I think my Lotoo Paw 6000 must have a defective Bluetooth antenna or something like that. I tried it on two separate BT devices, Sony XM5 headset and Brydynamic Free Byrd IEMs. I had to turn the Lotoo’s volume to 100 to even get a low level of audio on both devices. Too bad because I wanted...- dasadab
