Not HiFi but as a side sleeper I've found the Bose SoundSport Free to work really well.

Seems I have rather large ear as every stock ear tip is too small. Can anyone recommend third party tips that will work with these?

Lamim, another set of cans you might want to check out are the Logitech UE 6000's which are really Ultimate Ear 6000s. They're over-ear cans with a built-in DAC/AMP.
