I'd need to double check but if the X7 can double as a DAC for your computer you might as well grab that. Reason being it's inconvenient having an amp hooked to a phone you're trying to type on (unless you have an old phone to use as the player). Then there's the matter of the flavor it adds but...

We aren't guaranteed to get the X after this time whereas the Nighthawks aren't going out of production any time soon (are they?) Coupled with the portability of the X that enables use in every environment, well I know what I'm getting.

I never tried tried the W50 but other than the lack of bass quantity and the vocals on some tracks going off center on my W40 I really like it. The UMPRO50 pretty much covers those faults and I was hoping to get something along those lines from EE

I was looking into getting the Cerebus but the demo unit I tried had such soft bass it was a bit of a let down. Then again I was comparing it to the UMPRO50 from Westone...

Speaking of choice of music, I gave the AK Jr and AK70 a listen earlier today and found the vocals to be rather veiled on the 70. If you've heard the Jr how does it compare with the AK320? Was thinking of picking the Jr up since it's 300 USD right now.
