Oh, I see the chart that gets shown is compensated. I stand corrected, I thought it was flattening it as a raw.- karn1911

Sonarworks Headphone Calibration software
Curious experiment: load a flattened curve into Sonarworks and then apply the Harman Headphone Target curve with Equalizer APO. For any of those that have wanted to hear the Harman Target (which isn't available in Sonarworks.)- karn1911

xCORE-AUDIO Hi-Res DAC/HPA Platform
Was just having a look at XMOS's site and noticed this "evaluation board" that seems to be a standalone 32bit/386khz DSD128 USB DAC. Had a look around here and could not find any information on this particular unit. Has anyone had any exposure to this thing? Is it a good DAC? Would one...- karn1911

Little Dot MKIII Tube Rolling
My power tubes keep burning out after a few months. I've heard this may be an issue with AC voltage supply. Here in Australia we have 240V and the amp is designed for 220V. I've heard that with this amplifier there might be an issue with that little bit of extra voltage stressing the power...- karn1911

Ever use Jammix Enhancer?
Yeah true, it isn't free. Use the Winamp DSP. (Sound Solution 2.0 (no stand alone version)) I'm currently using a modified Omnia preset from the preset forums. Load this one, tell me what you think. EDIT: Here are some samples from my DSP chain. Racer X -Viking Kong (Bypass/Processed)...- karn1911

Ever use Jammix Enhancer?
I use this plugin in for a minor noise gate and bass clean up before signal is fed to my main DSP plugin Sound Solution 2.0. I could probally do without it, you ought to try Sound Solution if you enjoy Jammix. It's a professional level sound processor.- karn1911

Okay, so I just snapped my E500's.
Was removing the foam tip when the canal tube just decided to give way and snap off. It amazes me how easy it just came off, I've done this procedure numerous times. Is there anything I can do? These were second hand and without a receipt, is there any chance they accept it for repair?- karn1911

Won't ship to Australia?
Hmmm RE2's at Marcus's site for $99 shipped.. That is quite tempting. It is a shame that the shop is located in perth, it is always such a disappointment getting gear from overseas to find they are not to your taste. I know if they opened up a store here in Sydney I would be a regular visitor.- karn1911

Little Dot MKIII Tube Rolling
After much investigation I have discovered that one of the stock power tubes in my MK3 sounds so very off. I'm looking to get them upgraded to something better (without resistor modding.) Could someone suggest some and where I could purchase them?- karn1911

Review: Shure SE530
Thanks for the heads up about the yellow foamies. There is definitely a change in sound, the bass is alot more lean however the highs became slightly veiled. All in all I love how easy they are to insert/get a seal compared to the uncertainty of the black olives.- karn1911

When did you lose your Ear Virginity?
When I got my Sony EX71's, they sounded so **** that I had to come here to get them sounding right. Various sound tweaks I found here really opened my eyes on how slight mods could drastically change the sound produced. I remember the day I made them sound half decent, just kinda sat there...- karn1911

E888 problem.
Heya, I own a pair of E888's and the right bud flutters on bassy tracks, I opened it up and there are a few creases in the diaphragm and I am pretty sure this is the problem. I've tried blowing it from behind and flattening out some of the creases through the little holes but alas, they do...- karn1911
