    Bowers & Wilkins PX Noise-Cancelling Over-ears

I don't have a set yet. The local distributor estimates mid December availability, which is both good and bad

Have you tried to see whether it still sounds good after resetting using the hole?

    Bowers & Wilkins PX Noise-Cancelling Over-ears

256kbps AAC is nothing to sneeze at in terms of audio fidelity. It needs pretty good fixed setups to be differentiable against the original sources in blind tests. So I don't think AAC is a limiting factor for sound quality today on portable wireless headphones which are designed around low...

Not at all as the PX supports AAC too.

    Bowers & Wilkins PX Noise-Cancelling Over-ears

The PCMag reviewer had feedback the sensor issues to B&W and was given a second pair, which also had the same issues. B&W then replied that a planned software (firmware?) update is coming to improve the sensor behavior, so let's wait and see.

iFi Audio iOne official thread - There can be only one!

I was hoping that iFi iOne can output decoded DSD as PCM via spdif. With my current setup, I don't get sound when playing DSD files via my PC or NAS. This is how I connect the iOne: PC/NAS USB -> iOne USB-in iOne coaxial SPDIF-out -> Tascam interface SPDIF-in Tascam interface balanced out ->...

Bowers & Wilkins P7 Wireless - Impressions Thread

To me the audio quality on YouTube can be pretty decent once u select the higher quality 720p or 1080p streams. There's also a good variety of official MTVs and music playlists to pick from, and it's a good way to get exposure to artists I haven't heard about. If I like a song but it's not in...

Bowers & Wilkins P7 Wireless - Impressions Thread

Had this for a week and pretty satisfied with the overall sound quality. However there's excessive boomy bass. I can EQ it down in PowerAmp music player, but that approach cannot work for every app (eg. YouTube).

iFi Audio iOne official thread - There can be only one!

Hi iFi, Can you guys add audio output for DSD files via coaxial out? Currently the iOne is connected via coaxial out to my sound system. When playing DSD files, there is only sound via analog RCA, but not coaxial.

Bang & Olufsen BeoPlay H6 Discussion Thread

Just a heads up: I've confirmed with BeoPlay support via email that the H6 do not come with a cloth bag.  Seems like only the newer H6 stocks are affected by this, as an older H6 gen2 I had still came with it.   Coincidentally, there's a few reports over at the H7 thread of the recently...

    Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 and Wireless!

Any news on the Momentum 3 series? The Momentum 2 series will be 2 years old come Jan'17, and the flagship M2 Wireless has fallen behind the market in features (eg. PXC-550 and MDR-1000X).

    Sony MDR-1000X

I heard the same creaking with the 1000X at a Sony shop by simply opening and closing my mouth. It sounded like plastic rubbing against each other, which I'd not find acceptable in this price range. I could even replicate it by holding the set and twisting the earcups. The salesperson claimed...

Bang & Olufsen BeoPlay H6 Discussion Thread

Just received my H6 gen2 and it sounds fine through a quick listen. However the sliding headband mechanism does not feel right - The Right side has a tight slide with even resistance through the entire adjustment, but the Left side is much looser and has uneven resistance. Did I get a lemon?

    Brief Odac impressions

Quote:   So after more than a week, I am confident my problem has been resolved.  Thanks Alex and Chris for your suggestions which helped me tons during the debug!   The fix is to plug my logitech G700 gaming mouse receiver directly to a desktop USB2.0 port rather than to my...

    Brief Odac impressions

Quote: Seems when the ODAC is the only USB device connected to the desktop USB2.0 ports, the problem does not occur.    When I plugged back my USB2.0 hub (built in to Dell 27" monitor) to the desktop USB2.0 ports, it also worked fine - upon reboot however, the problem resurfaced.  Then...
