Brainwavz HM5 Pads (Different Colours / Velour / Leather)
I read that the velour ones don't have as much sound isolation (which I like) and actually tone the bass down even more.- Ophaq

Brainwavz HM5 Pads (Different Colours / Velour / Leather)
I just got the HM5 pads today and I'm having a really hard time deciding between the OEM and HM5. There literally is not much of a difference in comfort to me except the HM5 won't hurt my left ear after 4 hours or so. I used an "A State of Trance" mix on YouTube for sound testing because the...- Ophaq

Brainwavz HM5 Pads (Different Colours / Velour / Leather)
Hey all, I got my new ATH M50x today and I quite like it except for the grip of a macho wrestler strangling the sides of my head (even with band pulling). So, I opted for these cups after a lot of internal debate and research. I listen to a wide variety of music so I don't want too much bass...- Ophaq

Concerns about FiiO E10k USB DAC with my ATH M50x
I decided on getting some dark red Brainwavz HM5 after tons and tons of research. The pleather ones of course. I don't have any experience with velour and I don't want to lose too much bass as I enjoy my bass. I listen to a wide variety of music ranging from smooth jazz to heavy dubstep and...- Ophaq

Concerns about FiiO E10k USB DAC with my ATH M50x
True... I guess I'll have to figure it out for myself whenever I decide on getting a DAC. The M50x supposedly don't need one from what I've read so I'll just burn them in for a while and think on it. Right now I'm debating on what new pads to get for these as the clamp from the M50x even after...- Ophaq

Concerns about FiiO E10k USB DAC with my ATH M50x
Yeah, I don't think I'd want to install that lol. I put in a ton of new fans and cleaned my CPU + upgraded my memory and that was the biggest headache I ever had to do. Especially reinserting my GPU. I'll pass on adding one of those. Wouldn't having a USB 2.0 hub connected to a USB 3.0 port have...- Ophaq

Concerns about FiiO E10k USB DAC with my ATH M50x
Internal USB headers? Would I have to install that inside my PC case? Because I don't want another headache of installing hardware inside it. I read a lot about people having different problems with the E10K and it causing problems if they raise it above 48MHz or something. It had to do with...- Ophaq

Concerns about FiiO E10k USB DAC with my ATH M50x
So I just got my ATH M50x today. They're good and I can notice a slight difference but... they sound muddier than my 6 year old $40 noise pollution head phones. And there's quite a big difference from a lot of youtube videos I listen to (I can definitely hear their bad quality but at least my...- Ophaq
