Denon AH-D2000 replacement driver
I own a D2000 which has been serving me well for over two years. Unfortunately the left driver stopped working a few months ago. Initially I thought the cable had broken, and ordered parts to replace the defective cable. However, on opening the cans to begin the recable, I found that the...- discordia.23

awesome deal for a Hakko 936-12 on eBay
Thanks for sharing Joshadot! Out of interest, does anyone know what type of power supply the Hakko 936 has? I ask since this version may only be usable on US 110/120V mains, and I live in South Africa with a 220/230V mains supply.- discordia.23

Audio hobby complete - tweaks are great
I might be inviting disaster, but what would covering a floor in sand do for your audio system? Or is it for aesthetics? You could try find a supplier of river sand, which is very similar (to my tastes) to beach sand. -

Hmm it would be cool if one could dynamically vary output impedance (dampening factor?) to see the effect on a particular set of cans...- discordia.23

Ultrasone Proline 650 mods
Hi kwkarth, Thanks for posting your modding endeavours for us! I found it particularly interesting since I'm planning on purchasing the ATH A900 as my first headphone. Do you think a similar mod could be implemented on said cans? I remember reading about the "blu tak" mod awhile ago, which...- discordia.23
