New Beyerdynamic T5p 2nd generation
Another place that has measurements for the T5p.2 (and the second place mentioning how amp output impedance doesn't seem to affect sound signature much): https://diyaudioheaven.wordpress.com/headphones/measurements/brands-a-i/t5p-mk2/- JumboHashish

New Beyerdynamic T5p 2nd generation
I don't. It's a snug fit that way, but if you do foresee other heavy objects impacting the case regularly around the bottom area then it could become an issue. But that's not a scenario suitable for a soft case either.- JumboHashish

New Beyerdynamic T5p 2nd generation
If saving space is your goal (mine was), I've been using this case by Beyerdynamic themselves for the past year now rather satisfactorily. There's also the added benefit of a hard case's increased protection: https://www.thomann.de/gb/beyerdynamic_dt_hardcase.htm- JumboHashish

I don't seem to have this little slot on my T5p.2 serial #28XXX! Recently obtained the Brainwavz sheepskin pads and am struggling to put them on right now...- JumboHashish

The ZMF Omni name change contest and sale
ZMF Nemo — "No Name" as in Captain Nemo from Jules Verne's 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea. Also contrasts conceptually with 'everything/omni' while sounding similar since it uses similar vowels and consonants. Inspiration from another author: ZMF Avon - for the Bard from Avon. The man had...- JumboHashish

New Beyerdynamic T5p 2nd generation
Any idea what's the most analytical dac/amp for USD 200 that'll be good for the T5p.2? Not necessarily portable. Something like the Modi+Magni combo perhaps? O2+ODAC? The goal is to have the best sound for the T5p.2 without paying more than 20-30% of the original cost of the headphone (because...- JumboHashish

Beyerdynamic T5P Gen 2 with a little more sparkle
If you're open to modding, there are some interesting posts in this thread (with pictures!) that apparently open up the highs on the T5p.2- JumboHashish

How good are the DAC sections alone on the Dragonfly Black and Red? I was thinking a good system would be to get one of the Dragonflies for portable use and use them as a DAC at home to feed a dedicated amplifier like the Rupert Neve Headphone Amp which is being touted for its accuracy...- JumboHashish

New Beyerdynamic T5p 2nd generation
From a non-expert's POV it looks like a very efficient and clever way to reduce resonances in the driver assembly. The problem arises from the superlative marketing-speak used to describe the clever but simple engineering: that's what so laughably funny. But indeed, all is forgiven because...- JumboHashish

"We have optimised the geometry of the baffle design from the foundations up. A stable high-tech compound material reduces unwanted vibrations and provides exceptional harmonic sound reproduction with silky treble frequencies." — Beyerdynamic's T5p.2 product page. So that little rubber tab...- JumboHashish

Looks like Brent Butterworth has some measurements posted. Can't be certain they are the gen 2 though, since he doesn't seem to explicitly mention that. Can anyone make sense of these?- JumboHashish

If only we had the Mojo's performance available in a Dragonfly-sized body! But alas... I'm even more torn apart now between the convenience of the Red and the quality of the Mojo! So it's not just about finding the highest resolution DAC/Amp one can find for one's budget but also what...- JumboHashish

New Beyerdynamic T5p 2nd generation
Was seriously considering getting a Dragonfly Red myself for the T5p.2 (currently running it direct off the iPhone 6 and MacBook Pro). Do you think the T5p.2 would be better off with the Dragonfly Black? Would the Red be so terrible? I got the impression from the Red's reviews that it would only...- JumboHashish
