so.. i spent this weekend ripping my old DVDs to flac using Dvd Audio Extractor trying to get the highest sound quality since this material is not available to dl anymore (2003/2002 stuff). Fact's that even copying only to internal memory, it's always gapping like crazy... 1. ripped the AC3 6...- fl4viomc

Ok. First of all I'm awfully sorry to bother everyone here with a particular issue for so long time!! Fact is besides every annoying stuff I had posted here, I kept in mind all problems I'd experienced with the SD card thing would or will help another person. So now, if your D is not playing...- fl4viomc

ok.. what card? brand, size? I'm experiencing issues on gapless Flac albums on SD only. normal Flac albums are ok (since they're not gapless). I think I'll just leave all gapless files internally and leave this behind. Thanks anyway.- fl4viomc

Right. It was formatted on this allocation, and problems with big FLACs files (100Mb+) came (gaps on gapless FLAC albums when on SD card). I'd read somewhere that biggest allocations are good for large files because of the read speed. So you're saying that I should do the reformat on Guiformat...- fl4viomc

Problem is win vista has only NTFS and exFAT. so I'm full formatting NTFS 32K on vista and will full reformat FAT32 32K on guiformat. +- 4 hours to do this all. Fingers crossed.- fl4viomc

I runned win tests on SD. Errors were found. Sadly still gapping on gapless album 24bit/192khz flacs. Need time and patience to reformat the SD.. Meanwhile I'll use internal memory for gapless max bitrates flacs. Damn, God knows I'm tired about it.- fl4viomc

Right. Well, I'm moving 27 files max at once, speed: 3,16Mb/s. I don't know. There aren't many tags on files: Title/Artist/Album/Year/Track number/Genre/Album Artist/Album cover and that's it. I can give another guess: could it be the JetEffect itself? I use a custom setting.. Just...- fl4viomc

Player connected via the pc.. I've been thinking about formatting SD again, but maybe it's a waste of time. I think I need more talk about FLAC formats welcome and not welcome by the Plenue D.- fl4viomc

Ok. Just confirmed. 24/192 FLAC files get gaps on SD. I'm pretty sure it's a buffering bug, if not a hardware limitation. Checked 16/96 FLACs. I've got some bugs on album cover also on SD card. (Always have used Mp3Tag) This let me think about another conclusion: did I messed up my SD speed...- fl4viomc

Right in this moment I'm copying the Pink Floyd's Pulse album (that plays gapless perfectly on internal memory) to SD. Shall see in a moment and post it here. There's a small chance of little gaps comming from Dire Straits files. Maybe because they were not ripped correctly or something...- fl4viomc

Still getting clicks from changing tracks of Dire Straits Alchemy Live album on SD card. FLAC, 24/192. Meanwhile, Pink Floyd's Pulse gets gapless on internal memory. FLAC, 16/96... Anyone with very similar issue? FW 1.14. Just noticed that now. Haven't tried any other FLAC bitrates on...- fl4viomc

Yup. Fat32, 4096 b, but was not recogd by my old win vista at first. Tried to format using guiformat, but showing only 22Gb. So I tried to format it by win explorer and cancelled it (still showing 22Gb only). Then I saw here in this thread about a driver or something for vista and downloaded...- fl4viomc

Hi all. I got my D for some months now and a 128Gb microSD Kingston sdxc class 10 last friday. Lil question here: is it normal D taking 25/30 seconds for database update when turned on? is it too much time? I know the player needs time to pre-load all library on internal memory and the card...- fl4viomc
