Hifiman RE600 vs Shure SE425 vs Audio Technica ATH E50

Hello there, I'm looking to buy a new pair of everyday IEMs and I basically narrowed the field down to these three. I'm basically looking for as versatile and easygoing of a sound signature as possible, and from what I've gathered these three are all pretty middle of the road and can adapt...

The Schiitstorm: Next-Gen Magni 2 and Modi 2 Family!

Ok, I guess I'll wait a couple days and then write directly to their mail address.

The Schiitstorm: Next-Gen Magni 2 and Modi 2 Family!

The source is an iPod classic and I've used both a regular RCA cable and one that terminates in an old 30-pin Apple connector. I always leave the source volume maxed out as a default and use the amp's volume knob. The reseller (which is the official italian reseller for Schiit, I found their...

The Schiitstorm: Next-Gen Magni 2 and Modi 2 Family!

I bought a Magni 2 to use with a pair of DT 990 Premiums 250 Ohm. The performance I'm getting is not what I expected, and the reseller basically told me that the DT990 are too hungry for the Magni 2. That did not seem to be the case the first few days I had the amp, the volume got lower after a...

    Sony XBA-N3AP and XBA-N1AP — Impressions thread

Hey there, I've been interested for a while in trying something in the XBA line, since from what I read they are very good with electronic music, with huge bass, somewhat spiky treble and great imaging. I was really interested in the H3 and was waiting to come by some kind of deal. Would you say...

    Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro 80-Ohm Thread

Thanks, do you have an opinion about the 80 vs. 250 version? From what I could gather the 80s should be more bassy, and the 250 should have a more open sound, is that somewhat accurate? Also, would a Fiio E11k be able to drive the higher impedance model?

    Fidue A73 - Hybrid (1DD + 1BA) IEM - Impressions and discussion thread

Yeah, imaging and separation is what I meant, I really enjoy being able to clearly tell apart synth-lines in electronic music. Right now the most V-shaped pair I have are the M50x, but I think they sound too congested to excel with electronic music.

    Fidue A73 - Hybrid (1DD + 1BA) IEM - Impressions and discussion thread

Are these comparable in sound to the Sony hybrid BA IEMs? Stuff like the H3 or A3. I'm looking for something V-shaped with an holographic soundstage, mostly to use with electronic music, would these fit the description?

    Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro 80-Ohm Thread

I'm looking for headphones to use mostly with electronic music, and by that I mean more abstract stuff like Autechre, Plastikman or Burial, not EDM or hip-hop. I am looking for something with a big bass and bright treble, and I especially value instrument separation. Soundstage is a plus as...

Sony XBA-H1 and XBA-H3 Hybrid Dynamic and BA IEM

Can anyone comment on how these do with electronic music? I'd like something with big bass and bright treble, and I especially value imaging and instrument separation, so I figured these being hybrid with the dedicated tweeter, they might be right for me. I'm more interested in abstract...

If you still love Etymotic ER4, this is the thread for you...

I use an IPod classic with a FiiO E11k, so I think i should be reasonably covered. Anyway, thanks for the input, I'm probably going to pull the trigger sometime soon. What kind of music would you say is best suited to the Etymotic sound signature?

If you still love Etymotic ER4, this is the thread for you...

So, I've been thinking about getting a pair of Etymotic, and of course I'd like to get the ER4 in some shape or form (probably PT). That said I still haven't managed to find them at a decent price and I was wondering, is the HF5 that much of a step down? Or rather, I'm really intrigued by all...
