Acoustic Research AR-M200
Thanks for the prompt response. Hmm, if the SQ is just slightly better than say, M0, I would pass this one as it might be too much to deal with the inconvenience for the small improvement in sound.- darksmile

Acoustic Research AR-M200
Also checking out reviews on this unit due to the recent sale on massdrop. Can't seem to find it anywhere but does it support Cue sheets? SQ wise, how would it compare to other entry-level DAPs that offer balanced jack (such as pioneer xdp-30r which was on sale for ~$140 during black Friday)...- darksmile

Stax SR-L300 Impressions Thread
Thanks for the detailed reply! It seems that L300 is a good option as I want to try something different from HD6xx this time. It's likely that I will keep both (at least for quite a while) so that I can switch between the two for different scenarios. I have heard that listening to stax sounds...- darksmile

Yeah, I'm also seriously considering getting a 3100 system as the entry point to stax. Thanks for the tips.- darksmile

Stax SR-L300 Impressions Thread
Investment for the hobby ;) Would it be better to get a pre-owned set here or a new import from Japan, which is usually around $700 on ebay (and occasionally around $600 with deals). Don't know how long the evil me inside would ask for an upgrade :).- darksmile

Stax SR-L300 Impressions Thread
Still pretty new to this area... Currently using Sennheiser HD598 & HD6XX with Massdrop O2 + SDAC DAC/Amp. I have heard many good things about Stax, in particular for female vocals compared to HD6XX. Would Stax SRS-3100 system be a good investment for this purpose? Thanks!- darksmile

Schiit Fulla 2 Impressions Thread
Many thanks for the explanations on hd650. Seems that fulla2 is a good one to go given the current budget. Was considering creative E3 or G5 as my E5 was working reasonably well. It seems that schiit is generally regarded as a more serious choice compared to creative (more about gaming) here...- darksmile

Schiit Fulla 2 Impressions Thread
Happy new year! Currently pairing a Creative E5 with hd598 and occasionally hd6xx (650). Would like to get one desktop combo for work. Would Fulla2 be a good budget for my cans? Thanks!- darksmile
