Schiit Midgard - Impressions Thread
I did not notice reading through this, but maybe I missed it and my apologies if I did; but, my question is about the XLR out: it is truly balanced or not? If it is not a truly balanced out, then is it safe to use an XLR adapter to one of my non-XLR terminated cables?- krunchcrispy

DIY Cable Gallery!!
My apologies if this has been answered, but could anyone point me in the direction of a tutorial on how to change an IEM cable into a cable that has 3.55 plug on both ends? I have some older IEM cables that I never use, but have a need for some inter-connects. Thanks in advance.- krunchcrispy

Good review, thanks! I picked these up a few weeks ago; and your review is spot on. However, I changed the cable to a NiceHCK silver (14$), and changed the tips -- wow. The increased transparency in the mids, the soundstage, the bass texture, AND the coherency. I use them more on my dektop...- krunchcrispy

Low end. Cheap. Generic. Otherwise bang for buck cable thread!
Can anyone suggest a cheaper version of this cable but with close to the same quality? https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1000007909452.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.27424c4dZrnMWU ?- krunchcrispy

I want to second that appreciation for including the FLC8s. I picked up an FLC8s 5 years ago and keep reading reviews to see if its been bested in its price range yet. Doesnt seem to so.- krunchcrispy

I know this isnt the correct thread, but could someone direct me where I might find a tutorial on how to re-solder the connector end of a cable? One of my IEM cables https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1000007909452.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.27424c4dZrnMWU after 2 years has its wire frayed off at...- krunchcrispy

ANy update on your head-to-head? I am thinking about these. Hmmmm. Any chanc eyou have a Moondrop Starfield? I have been using that cable on some other IEMS, and I am curious as to how the NiceHCK LITZOCC sounds against the Moondrop cable.- krunchcrispy

Hey folks, I have a recommendation request. I have an 'original' FLC8s and first bought a Null Audio Arete cable (mark I) and the sound is pretty good, but the microphonics and stiffness are horrible. Last year I bought cable 170...- krunchcrispy

Best IEM tips?
Thanks for the info -- I already have the Senn's and they arenot quite right; as for the X5 -- I have spent more on Complys that I dont use so much than 13.00 and get a X5 in the process. Sounds like a plan. Thanks.- krunchcrispy

NiceHCK Earphones (Thoughts and impressions)
Well, I just 'eye' the amount of blu tack and what is looks like inside for both ears -- ! I am definitely not a technician and go for 'good enough' in my mods. =) I found the bronze BGVP (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32948536073.html?spm=a2g0o.cart.0.0.3c8a3c00mHbxIj&mp=1) to reduce the...- krunchcrispy

NiceHCK Earphones (Thoughts and impressions)
Just FYI for folks with a NiceHCK M6 (which I love, but modded) -- I took some Blu-tack and, after removing the filters, filled in the cavity by about 50-75%. I use the Bronze filter and I have upgraded the cable. Filling in the cavity reduces the resonant 'booming' of the bass, and now the M6...- krunchcrispy

NiceHCK Earphones (Thoughts and impressions)
Thanks -- I actually have messaged them 5 times since Nov 25th, and they responded once asking for a little more time; but the last 2 of my messages they haven't responded. I just do not want to be rude and start a dispute, but almost 2 months even during 11.11 is a bit long.- krunchcrispy

NiceHCK Earphones (Thoughts and impressions)
HEY, I am trying to get a hold of "Jim" at NiceHCK -- I sent in my M6 to have the mmcx connectors replaced (as they somehow, after 5 months, quit working), but the earphones were confirmed arrived with NiceHCK 6.5 weeks ago and I still haven't received a message on Aliexpress that my IEMs have...- krunchcrispy
