Oh how I envy you! The phones and the cable are, of course, nice, but it was your headphone stand that really cought my attention... Your go-board is also very beautiful! Katsura?- HanssoN

Best Car Headphone amp(for HD600's)
I didn't bother to read all of the replies, but driving a car using open headphones completely ruins the listening experience... You need a quiet environment for headphone listening to be enjoyable, and thus only sealed headphones would work in a car, but that is NOT recommended for some obvious...- HanssoN

Possible to get Bach's first cello suite ONLY? (Rostropovich's version)

Possible to get Bach's first cello suite ONLY? (Rostropovich's version)
Yes.... and mixing Jacqueline du Pré with Yo-Yo Ma would sound very strange. I believe Yo-Yo Ma plays his Montagnana in his latest recording of the suites, and I love the sound of this instrument. Perhaps the instrument is as important as the performer when playing solo... If you haven't... -
Possible to get Bach's first cello suite ONLY? (Rostropovich's version)
I finally bought Rostropovich's 1995 recording of the Bach cello suites... Wow! Amazing sound, wonderful interpretation that is more dynamic than most. Now I've got 5 versions of the suites, and perhaps my constant search for a better version has finally come to an end. -

Stupid stuff you did as a kid
2 years ago or so I visited my cousin with whom I stayed for a few days... One day my cousin was away for a few hours, and my aunt and I were alone... I was lying outside in hammock when my asked me if I wanted to go shopping with her as she had to buy some dinner. I declined and stayed in the...- HanssoN

How do the Sennheiser 575 rate compared to the 570/580s?
Quote: Originally posted by Mindless HD575 is the same as 570 as much as HD580 is alike HD600. You can't really compare them, no, but some people like the HD 590 better than the HD 580/600... In my experience there are a few differences between the HD570 and the HD575, but...- HanssoN

Sky, Space or Revo?
I use the Space. Even though I like the sound the drivers have been buggy, and if I bought a card today I'd probably go for the M-audio Revolution. The Space has a built-in pre-/headphone amplifier so it'll probably drive your HD580s quite well. I haven't really used the built in amp myself, though.- HanssoN

The NAD 521BEE CDP
The new 521BEE is most likely the best of the players mentioned, but I liked the Denon DCD-1450 with the HD600s. I thought Denon & Sennheiser matched well, but I didn't have a dedicated amp available when testing. When listening to the DCD-1450 and the NAD 541i I got the impression that the...- HanssoN
