Shure KSE1500 Review - Shure KSE1500 Sound Isolating Electrostatic Earphones
You are right. KSE1500 is is extremely revealing. It's insane how revealing it is compared to other IEMs. An analytical player/DAC will not be the best match.- shaluka

CHORD ELECTRONICS DAVE
Good question. I recently asks the same question from a local audio retailer. He suggested it's better spend the money on a better Speaker/Amp/DAC .. Saying that im using a bluesound node 2i which is fairly decent.- shaluka

Shure KSE1500 Review - Shure KSE1500 Sound Isolating Electrostatic Earphones
Hands down Shure KSE1500 is the best IEM i have ever heard. If you got the budget just go for it. It'll just blow everything else out of the waters. Only thing that was slightly better than this was The Stax SR009 but that was connected to some extremely hi-end gear when I listened to it.- shaluka

Thanks for the input. That's a good idea. I'll try and do that. Did you not prefer a tube amp? I prefer the sound of tube amps personally.- shaluka

CHORD ELECTRONICS DAVE
It's the "AZ Two Hemp". I currently have a Primaluna Integrated, but it doesn't have a pre-out. I just wanted to find out if someone had tried different amps and found some matching combinations. I know there are lot of elements to it rather than just the DAC and the amp. Still it would be...- shaluka

Hugo M Scaler by Chord Electronics - The Official Thread
That's really interesting to hear. I read elsewhere it's better to just to the DAC section of the DAVE. I got a Primaluna Integrated amp. It's doesn't that the pre-outs so I would only be able to use the DAC initially till I find a power amp to try. It also may be that the experience depend on...- shaluka

Comment by 'shaluka' in item 'FiiO X7 Mark II Smart Hi-Res Music Player'
Is this a problem? Hi Guys , Bought the new Fiio X7ii just over a week ago as a replacement for my Fiio X7 version 1. The sound separation is good, but I feel the positioning is a bit out . I's using the player with my Shure kse1500 which I thought paired really well with the version 1...- shaluka
