    AKG new headphone K545?

Just to remember K545 are much more V shape and bassier cans. Really nice bass with big impact. Check new Sennheiser Hd 4.30, Takstar pro82 or Creative aurvana live. Pro82 will be over ear Hd4.30 on ear Creative aurvaba live - depends, for me its over ear - usuall men's head.

Takstar Pro 82/GM200 Review, impressions and discussion thread

Was quick testing pro82 today versus m50x,srh840,mdr7506. Deffintly best comfort of all, very good memory pads. Ears are tuching the drivers. Was testing with bass boost off. Less bass and higs than m50x. Bass is not as boomy as on m50x. More cultural sound on takstar. Better soundstage on m50x.

    Superlux HD330..29euros gives you A LOT! ( Review )

Have the Hd330 and Hd6000 HD6000 is also very good sounding can. But sounds is much more linear than HD330. HD6000 is also on the warm side, touch more darker than HD330. With better vocals as mids are not as much recessed as HD330. Also good tight bass without bleed to mids. Better mids and...

AKG K240 Studio owners please share your experience

Hard to say, it would have to be wall powered one, not the usb. I guess only subtle differences , completely not worth the price. with wall powered one, bas should be better. As I have E10K and M3 and M3 has more body/mass to the sound. I would go better headphones first - Q701/K712 or...

After some reading I have decided to try for myself both beyer pads: ED990 VB and ED770 VB already have the super soft leather pads form custom ones pro...     This is my final purchase for my K240 gold edition :)     Will post impression after testing both beyer pads....

It's all up to personal preference. Velour is simply much comfy especially on summer. Most likely 990 pads are simply to thick and destroy the bas. Or might be get the superlux velour pads??   Get the Beyer Custom one Pro Soft leather pads then - those are supersoft but also have the holes...

I have my K240 with HIFIMAN Velour pads, and prefer it more than on leather ones ( Beyer custom one pro pads). Not sure the Beyer EDT990 thickness but looks similar or a bit more thicker than Hifman ones. Velour pads take away the warmness of pleather pads, K240 sounds brighter with these with...

    S.M.S.L M3 Mini DAC

I will keep SMSL M3 mostly to more solid sound signature versus light/thin E10K Second reason is the volume knob, M3 simply is much more pleasant to use than thumb one on E10K

    S.M.S.L M3 Mini DAC

Have both SMSL M3 and E10K Only subtle differences, powering K240 Sound on M3 comparing to E10K is bit more solid and controlled, E10K sounds lighter and closer to head.   M3 does not have Gain switch and produce significant noise on earphones( at least on my brainwavez Delta - 16omh)

The Ear Pads Thread (post questions or say what ear pads worked for you)

Afer two weeks with AKG K240 Studio, got tired of stock pleather pads. As I assumed velour pads will limit bass on this headphones I went for those: Beyerdynamics Custom One Pro pads...
