Agreed - but my main aim was to stop people comparing audio bandwidth with radio bandwidth! The figure I have calculated also does not have any compression (again was just to ensure people don't compare apples with oranges)

Lets not confuse radio & data bandwidth (bitrate)!   2.4Ghz is divided into overlapping channels with a bandwidth of 22Mhz (this is not 22Mhz of data, this is radio bandwidth) Data is modulated onto those 22Mhz channels - 54Mbps   5Ghz is divide into overlapping channels with a range of...

As far as I'm aware Rob Watts does the FPGA DAC wizardry - so why would he need to be involved in this?

Yeah I noticed the toslink hadnt been used. Phones are awful for rfi (that's the only thing that has upset my mojo and that's easily resolved by separating them slightly or airplane mode). The poly means that i no longer have the mojo near poorly shielded equipment, and I'll play from card...

As Chord have designed both the Mojo+Poly they can negate the need for isolation by designing the devices to limit conducted emissions, earth loops and the like. (I guess the Toslink could have been used as an opto-isolator?) So long as the devices are sensibly grounded (with respect to each...

Agreed - whilst cheap optical cables are likely to be problematic (low quality, mechanical failure). They will work up to a point (bandwidth) and sound no different up to that point!

Full SD sockets take up significantly more real estate! Most of my music is red book standard 16/44.1 with some 24/48 (iOS Music limit) so I can get plenty on a 128Gb at the moment. I guess as I buy more HD Audio I'll look at larger cards.

    Chord Mojo(1) DAC-amp ☆★►FAQ in 3rd post!◄★☆

To be honest I'll never get ALL my music on one SD, but most of us can whittle it down to a single card. I have been let down by memory cards (I'm now an eggs in multiple baskets guy) and it's no hardship carrying/swapping cards!

I'm so down for this Poly, I went and bought two micro SDs to fill with flacs in preparation!

Would certainly sweeten the deal for me, and I certainly think it should as none of those connectors are designed to be used as mechanical fixing points (even if it 'works' the pressure put on those connectors over time; or thru a reasonable knock does not seem acceptable)

I'll be buying a poly; having said that I think the retail price is definitely wrong and can't imagine it what Chord were aiming for. Obviously Brexit/currency has played a part, but if it were looking more expensive than the Mojo most manufacturers would compromise somewhere (profit, features...

    Woo Audio WA-8

No doubt, I've tried my Mojo and WA7 together and it was pretty boss. However it wasn't enough of a quantum leap to be my default - I'm a one box man!

Having looked around recently there is definitely a gap in the market sub £1K (guess that's why so many Mojo/Hugos are being used in tabletop rather than portable systems)

Yes my Mojo definitely needed a couple of full charge cycles before I got the correct performance from it. It's fine now.

I wear a NOMOS Glashütte because it is simply stunning: It also has an in-house movement which is increasingly rare these days:
