Review: Questyle Audio QP1R - With Multiple Headphone and IEM Pairings
Mine is also still working great, battery keeping up decent work. Since the beginning driving the same oppo pm-3's and ether flow's Sound is perfectly balanced Only flaw for me is, that when I choose random for the whole library (play by category -> songs -> random playback) sometimes it stops...- Bambule

MrSpeakers ETHER Flow and ETHER C Flow -- Inspired by Electrostatic Headphones
Yes it's quiet here, but for me this is ok and kind of a good sign. My ether flow is working fine and gives me great hours time after time again. No problems here, I love the sound delivered. And I'm not waiting for an ether 3, 4, or anything. My headphone will stay with me for some time to come...- Bambule

Oppo PM-3 : The Portable Planar - Impressions
I went to a little leather shop in my city and asked if he could do something for my headband, and he did, low price, and very good job (I think I posted something along the way in this thread but I'm not sure..)- Bambule

Oppo PM-3 : The Portable Planar - Impressions
I use them since 2015 with my QP1R and I think there great. Had to change pads and also replaced the headband with a real leather one. I think the technical side of the headphone is great, when you get the pads and headband stuff done, you own a great closed headphone- Bambule

Oppo PM-3 : The Portable Planar - Impressions
So I was short before selling my pm3, Headband and pads were damaged, I will never buy fake leather parts headphones again. After some thoughts about replacing them with a wireless headphone, I decided to keep the pm3 and put some real leather on them. I went to a leather shop in my town and the...- Bambule

Oppo PM-3 : The Portable Planar - Impressions
A question about the mod with the brainwavz earpads using the ring from the original pads: is it necessary to glue it at all? I'm wondering if it's not enough that the earpads are being pressed to the headphone when the ring is being clipped to the housing to get them stay in place? I mean the...- Bambule

Oppo PM-3 : The Portable Planar - Impressions
The hd 820 is definitely closed, with gorilla glass on the outside. But yes, expensive The headband of the Mr speakers headphones is in my opinion the best you can get, nitinol, almost unbreakable and perfect clamp force for almost every head As of audeze, I sadly have no experience with them- Bambule

Oppo PM-3 : The Portable Planar - Impressions
I also am very disappointed with the durability of my pm3. My hd590 lasted 15 years. The headband of my pm3 looks so destroyed after few years I can't believe. I no longer wear the headphone because I feel Everytime some synthetic leather stuff stays in my hair. Pm3 is my first headphone after...- Bambule

Review: Questyle Audio QP1R - With Multiple Headphone and IEM Pairings
If you have patience, then maybe sending in is the better solution for you. I think the refurbished ones are good to go, they will work fine for sure, but you never know if there is a scratch here and there, ok. I never look at the player while listening though. That's personal I think- Bambule

Wow this thread is coming alive again! My QP1R was replaced two times, a long road. now battery is working fine. MrSpeakers ETHER Flow and ETHER C Flow -- Inspired by Electrostatic Headphones
Losing the "physical softness" with the newer pads is the only down grade for me with the 1.1 plus new pads upgrade. They really are much stiffer and you can definitely feel this while putting them on the head. It seems to disappear though after wearing for some time- Bambule
