Just a general comment particularly to those who may not understand why HD700's might get some bad reviews. Apologies if someone has said this already but there's a lot of pages here... These things have scalability. They don't need HD800 class rigs and can easily drop into HD598/558 level...- FClasby

Sennheiser HD 600 Impressions Thread
+1 on the Meridian Explorer, especially if you can source a V1 on the cheap. It's an excellent piece of kit. I've been using one for years - initially as part of my home rig and now when traveling. Unless you want MQA the Explorer 1 is perfect.- FClasby

Sennheiser HD 380 Pro
Made in Ireland. Some entry level gear are put together in China but the better cans are made in Ireland or Germany.- FClasby
