Monarch Mkii vs Mest Mkii
I can't imagine a bass lover taking the Monarch over a Mest. Monarch's bass is really "wet" (not articulated/bad compared to his price class)- Benvoka

Lime Ears Impressions and Discussions Master Thread (New Flagship IEM - Anima)
Test and comparison of the Lime Ears Anima Introduction: It must be a very special earphone, which is able to wake me up from my self-chosen audiophile hibernation. Whereby, the term "special" could be an understatement in connection with the Lime Ears Anima. Briefly pre-empted: The...- Benvoka

IEM with the best Imaging and sound stage?
Thiaudio Prestige has a bigger Soundstage than IER-Z1. Alot of air due to no roll off in the treble. https://www.audiophileon.com/news/thieaudio-prestige-review Confirms it while being a fan of the Sony.- Benvoka

THIEAUDIO Prestige Coming Soon
I am actually going the opposite direction: Selling the MMk2 while keeping the Prestige, which in my eyes seems more competent. But I see the MMk2 as more approachable for the masses with the thicker mids and the "politer" treble. My reasons for keeping the prestige (sorry for the list): 1. I...- Benvoka

THIEAUDIO Prestige Coming Soon
Quick impressions compared to the Monarch MK2: Bass: The monarchs bass is really slow. Not so the bass of the prestige which is tight and fast and deep(er) reaching. For me a solid S-Class bass in quality. Mids: In most reviews so far you read, that the mids are way more in the background. I...- Benvoka

THIEAUDIO Prestige Coming Soon
I need more info. The term "splashy" needs to be described more. Is it over the top or still natural? Is the treble presence just uncommon because of the popular drop-off in the treble? Please elaborate more.- Benvoka

Cowon Plenue 2 - Taking it a step further.
Well too late. Any way to undo this horrendous mistake? No stock firmware download? No real customer support from Cowon? Thanks for any help in advance?- Benvoka

Plenue 2 Mk II
400GB SDCard works fine. No Complains. No donwsides. But I got another issue. I Downloaded and installed the current p2 (not mk2) firmware. So I would really love to downgrade to the last (and only) firmware of the mk2. Could anybody please copy his MK2 system files and send them to me? I would...- Benvoka

NEW - Campfire Comet and Atlas
No. The SXC 8 is hefty, when it comes to size and weight (also with memory wire inside) . The stock silver cable is differently and a very good match to the atlas.- Benvoka

NEW - Campfire Comet and Atlas
I am a huge sucker for hybrid cables, like those from forza audio. Well, they don't do it for me with the Atlas, compared to the sheer amount of detail and (very natural feeling) clarity the pure silver cable provides. Wonder how the ref8 cable works with the Atlas (looking at Ken) .... I sold...- Benvoka

NEW - Campfire Comet and Atlas
The new silver cable is the best match for the Atlas. All of my upgrade cables actually feel like a steep downgrade. Will have the time soon to write a more elaborate impression/review.- Benvoka

NEW - Campfire Comet and Atlas
It might sound like a fan boy overhyping. But I have a very similar experience. Tonight I was laying in bed, unable to stop my extended listening session. The highs are sharp, sometimes even a little hot, but just below of being uncomfortable. The mids are more foreward now, rich and well...- Benvoka

NEW - Campfire Comet and Atlas
It gets better after maybe 50 hours of burn-in. Still, the lower frequencys bill be heard (an felt) clearly. It is still a quite "colored" experience, but burn-in and your brain will help you forget the idea of a "flat" monitor. More details soon.- Benvoka

You will love the Atlas then. https://www.head-fi.org/showcase/campfire-audio-atlas.23088/reviews#review-20308 It's a very early review. I will make a rework in the next few weeks to make it more in-depth and to include my impression after the burn-in. Cheers!- Benvoka

NEW - Campfire Comet and Atlas
If you liked the Vega, you will love the Atlas. If you liked the highs of the Andromeda and its soundstage, and the depth and bass of the Vega, you absolutely need the Atlas (IMHO). It's best to test a well burned-in Atlas if you are unsure. But if you didn't like the idea behind the Vega it is...- Benvoka

NEW - Campfire Comet and Atlas
I totally agree to this. The highs are, what makes the Atlas simply better than the Vega. As I said in my review, I compare the Atlas's highs to the Andromeda 's. If you have principles like having a flat frequency response, you won't sleep well, knowing you have the Atlas. But still. The...- Benvoka

NEW - Campfire Comet and Atlas
The Atlas's sub bass will blow every other item out of the water and then some. When it's needed. Your brain will do something funny. It will give you the sensation of your body vibrating. On other tracks without alot of bass the Atlas will completely hide his sub bass. But big drums... oh boy!- Benvoka
