No. The SXC 8 is hefty, when it comes to size and weight (also with memory wire inside) . The stock silver cable is differently and a very good match to the atlas.

The new silver cable is the best match for the Atlas. All of my upgrade cables actually feel like a steep downgrade. Will have the time soon to write a more elaborate impression/review.

It might sound like a fan boy overhyping. But I have a very similar experience. Tonight I was laying in bed, unable to stop my extended listening session. The highs are sharp, sometimes even a little hot, but just below of being uncomfortable. The mids are more foreward now, rich and well...

It gets better after maybe 50 hours of burn-in. Still, the lower frequencys bill be heard (an felt) clearly. It is still a quite "colored" experience, but burn-in and your brain will help you forget the idea of a "flat" monitor. More details soon.

The Atlas's sub bass will blow every other item out of the water and then some. When it's needed. Your brain will do something funny. It will give you the sensation of your body vibrating. On other tracks without alot of bass the Atlas will completely hide his sub bass. But big drums... oh boy!
